“Last month, my 1999 Pontiac Trans Am was damaged at a car wash when one of the retaining clips failed, causing the rear passenger-side fiberglass bumper to crack. Finding a replacement bumper was not an option since Pontiac is no longer in business, and locating parts for a Trans Am in 2026 is extremely difficult. After spending several days searching for a body shop capable of repairing a custom fiberglass bumper, I came across Southside Custom Autobody LLC. I was impressed by the outstanding reviews from previous customers, so I decided to call and schedule an appointment with Adel. From our first meeting, Adel demonstrated extensive knowledge and professionalism. “I truly cannot recommend this shop enough - I wish I could give 6 stars. Everyone at B&L that I worked with was kind, transparent, empathetic, helpful, thorough, skilled, and professional throughout the whole experience. My estimator, Al, and the CSRs I worked with, Dominique and Lissette, were incredible and made a nightmare scenario much less stressful for me. My car had water damage/mold from heavy rain & humidity and an apparent leak, so I took it to Murgado Ford - where I spent $600 for a 2-hour inspection to find what was causing the water damage (they said it was sunroof drain tube clog) - and they quoted me $12,400 in repairs for cleaning out the tubes and replacing the carpet, saying it would cost me at least $5,000 anywhere else I go. I then took my car to B&L for a second opinion, and they quoted only $3,400 for repairs and found a completely different issue than Ford (leak was coming from the door weather strips). They replaced the weather strips and carpet, AND cleaned out the drain tubes for free as an added measure. I needed my car back 2 days before it was scheduled to be finished and they all made sure it was ready early. While I hope I never need another car repair, I'll be going back to B&L every time for as long as I live in Chicago!”

Went to two different places one told me its the catalytic converter that would cost 1800, another told me its a leak that would cost 800 to repair, went to Mike for a third opinion he cleared it and told me it's just because I have a gas cap it can be loose nothing serious and told me I can get the emission test done. He did not charge me. I did and it passed the test. Truly grateful for him and he is really good at what he does as he was the only one that was able to tell me what was actually going on.”
