“Super helpful! I ordered my nieces quince dress at a different boutique since my brother had already done a deposit. Unfortunately the boutique didn’t include the last doll or brindis with packages. I went to this shop and the lady who helped me was super helpful in helping me place my order for these two very important items. I was completely impressed by the details of the bear’s dress and how identical it was to my nieces quince dress. She was over the moon and absolutely loved it.”

“This is a charming store that has lots of really cool men and women’s clothing. The staff are super nice and the prices are very reasonable. They have some very cool “neurodivergent” pins, cups, swag so if you have family that are on the autism spectrum it has some great gifts. I bought A nice Chicago T-Shirt for my husband. Location in Lincoln Square is great and nice place to find a special gift after lunch at one of the local eateries.”
“I was there a few weeks ago. I was looking for a hat but left with a three-pack of Field Notes notebooks. It has a mix of outdoorsy gear and shirts for men. If you're a camper type of person or need gift ideas for men, this is worth checking out. Small place, but with a cool atmosphere. I was thinking they should start selling coffee and put a table in that small room, but that would make it even more cramped.”

They have been a mainstay of this block and Logan Square for many years, through tough times! “Last year I visited Mexico and grew attached to their style of embroidery. I bought a huipil dress in Costa Maya and really loved their vibrant patterns. While attempting to find places in Chicago that sold garments in this style, Solei popped up on my Yelp search.Solei is a Chicago based store that partners with indigenous cooperatives in Mexico ensuring your purchase goes back to the community. They have a big selection of Mexican style embroidered dresses, tunics, tops and accessories in a multitude of colors and styles. A big plus is that they also sell Otomi style clothes and purses. I was really impressed with their selection which led me to visit them in person. Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted in store so I ended up purchasing my things online. In house, their stock is limited but at least you can try on stuff for look and fit.A majority of their goods are pulled from their warehouse. What you can't find in store, you can oftentimes get online at: soleistore.comIf shopping in store, they have a section devoted to ball gowns and tiaras. It seems like a popular place for purchasing quinceanera gear if you're in the market for it. Come out and visit Solei. They have a beautifully curated selection of fine Mexican embroidery well worth the trip to Little Village.”

Martha was exceptionally nice and informative. The woman who checked me out was super sweet too. Can't wait to go back. In addition to other items, I got a slightly worn pair of Jordan's ... “I would like to start my review by saying "HELLO DARLING." This was an interesting shop for me because I was unsure whether this shop would have anything for me. But, upon suggestions, I ventured to this shop. I was in this area previously but never knew that there was a hidden gem (shop) in the area. Where were you "The Darling Shop"? Upon entering the store, the store associate welcomed me by placing a white disco ball necklace around my neck (I felt like I was given a medal for partying hard lol) and handed me the goodie bag. She was sweet and patient. As a part of the event, the goodie bag had white disco ball necklace, pink disco ball drink tumblers, facial cleansing wipe, nail polish and some stickers. She explained to me a little history about the store. It blew me away when I knew that this store sells their goods from local area small businesses, people etc. The Darling shop is a stage for all these mini businesses where every product is made with minute detail. This was my first surprise. The store had party stuff, women's fashion, baby stuff was on the right side from the counter, home goods, sunglasses on the left side to the wall and many more. There was one section where they had various kinds of greeting cards. There were a variety of things in the store. My first look was that it was a store for women but as I went around for a bit then it was eye-catching when I saw they had a small section for men which was my second surprise. They had Men's accessories, clothing, and grooming. Upon looking, I bought a black pair of socks for myself. To sum up, the store was cool with such a variety of daily goods. I could not get to meet the owner NIKKI, but the store instantly gives you happy vibes with all the positive quotes around the store and for the stuff they are selling. I also checked out their website which was great, but the only recommendation is it would be nice if the font color is white (other color) on top and bottom of the website as it can be more visible. I would recommend my friends to explore this store. Lastly, for me, THE DARLING STORE = INSTANT HAPPINESS.”
