2324 7th Avenue, Rock IslandDr. Naske went above and beyond for our cat, who had a horrible reaction to her visit from another veterinarian office. Friday at 5:10, we called on referral since our own vet would not stay to see her. Although they were closing within 20 minutes, the doctor offered to stay until we could get there, she felt the panic we were suffering. After we arrived , she examined and identified the most likely problem and treated her immediately. We are not regular patients and she certainly did not have to wait for us, but I believe her compassion for our cat and her problem was far greater than whatever she may have had planned for herself. The entire staff was very welcoming and I’m quite certain they were looking forward to ending their workday, but all greeted us warmly upon arrival. We left feeling grateful and would highly recommend the Rock Island animal Hospital.

I stopped in for a pour-over hoping for a light roast, but only a medium roast was on bar that day. It ended up being a fantastic cup—the beans yielded a beautifully balanced, medium-bodied brew with soft notes of toasted hazelnut and milk chocolate that transitioned into more earthy notes. It had a remarkably smooth, low-acidity profile with zero bitter bite and a clean finish. A solid cup of coffee.
We took our drinks over to the vintage church pews to soak in the art-filled walls, working black and white TV and relaxed community feel. It’s the kind of environment where you instantly want to sink in and linger. We came in just for coffee, but Rozz-Tox is so much more. You need to experience this standout destination for yourself.
