“The employees at Huntington bank are really good. When i go there, I had no problems with them. The banker tellers are very good at what they do, and how they help there customers. People should know how to be patient and respectful them. That's what I have to say. But if there was more stars to give i would give a 20/20 stars cause they do try and help.”
“The customer relations people at the bank in Spring Grove were pleasant, patient and very helpful straightening out my debt card issues. SBOTL is a big bank with small town service.”

“When I lived in Mundelein this was my preferred bank. It was a bummer when I had to go to the bank on Maple, but it was only because this bank didn't have the printer to give me a new debit card. I assume because they're a smaller establishment? The employees were always very kind to me and my children (if they tagged along). Complementary coffee, water, and candy was sometimes available if there was a wait for a banker. If I ever did have an issue they were very apologetic and worked hard to resolve my problem. I know most are quick to leave negative reviews, but after moving away I miss this bank. I now frequent a Wintrust near my new residence and it can't hold a candle to this branch.”
“Ive been banking here for many years. Their personal banking services, and their customer services are absolutely great. Their tellers are always friendly and their personal bankers (especially Catherine and Denise) are super helpful. Their online bill pay works well for both business and consumer banking and allows transfers, etc. They always have good coffee and snacks/treats for the kids and in general it is a pleasure to stop by the bank. I've never tried to borrow money from Wintrust.”

Steer clear from the branch in Libertyville! A complete nightmare there!!On a brighter note, this location deserves 5 stars and more. “I really like this Bank and all the people that work in it. They are very efficient and friendly. My biggest gripe is that at the drive-in window they don't make the far left window for business transactions. Somebody simply depositing a check should use any other lane. I typically have large Bank envelopes filled with deposits for my business. And I sit in line and wait for Joe average when there are other lanes open and available that I simply cannot use. This is an inconvenience to another wise great bank to do business with.”
“I have had exceptional service from First American for years. They know me and are so proactive in the support they provide. Recently I changed the legal structure for my business and didn't think about the need to change my business bank account. They called me and it was so easy to take the new documentation to them and they quickly changed the bank records. I am very grateful to have a real community bank that I can depend on for business and personal financial needs.”
“My Wife and I got a Home Equity Line of Credit through First American Bank. I cannot believe we waited this long to do this. We were paying around 20% for all our cards and FAB offered us 8% ish for all our cards. They saved us so much money! Sherl from the Gurnee Location was incredible! She was so Friendly, patient and knowledgeable and got us through this so quickly and easily. We would highly recommend FAB and Sherl for anybody that wants a Home Equity Line of Credit”

“Been banking with First American Bank since 2016. No issues. I’ve had this bank go after a place of business who cheated me and kept my money in 2021. It went well and First American Bank got my money back from them.I call with questions and have never gotten anyone rude or unwilling to help answer my questions.They will refund one overdraft fee if you’re nice and have good cause. I think you’re only allowed one freebie though.”
“My Debit Card had been hacked by a very bad person (vbp) and the SBOTL Fraud Security Group put a Hold on my account. So I stopped by the Center Street Office on my way to the Vet with my Puppy, and Allison, one of the Many Wonderful Women who works there, took care of Everything, and on the way back from the Vet, I picked up my new Card and EVERYTHING on my Account was Safe, Secure and, as Usual with SBOTL, taken care of Extremely Professionally!”
