“My Debit Card had been hacked by a very bad person (vbp) and the SBOTL Fraud Security Group put a Hold on my account. So I stopped by the Center Street Office on my way to the Vet with my Puppy, and Allison, one of the Many Wonderful Women who works there, took care of Everything, and on the way back from the Vet, I picked up my new Card and EVERYTHING on my Account was Safe, Secure and, as Usual with SBOTL, taken care of Extremely Professionally!”

“Very friendly staff that sees me as valuable more than the money they handle. That said, the bank is highly effective in dealing with your money via online, in-person and drive-thru.”

“There was a point when I wouldn't have written a great review, but things have VASTLY improved at Community Trust Credit Union, particularly at the Grayslake branch. So friendly! So knowledgeable! So willing to go the extra mile. It is going back to the friendly, local credit union I remember when I joined a decade ago. That makes me so happy!”

“I have accounts with the top names in the industry both on personal and business side. However they do with me what they know to do best in charging high interest and fees. So when I want to apply for a small debt consolidation loan for them I was to small to care about. I enter in First Midwest Bank in Grayslake, my neighborhood bank and I found a much better approach. A very personal and friendly touch. I found Antony and with him I did an inquiry for my good credit score. This guy really knows his job and works to have things done. By the end of the day I got the answer that my personal unsecured loan is approved and in the following day I signed the paperwork. I should mention that I did a similar inquire in the same time with a different bank also. Two weeks later my loan application was still on the underwriter desk and they were requiring more information from me. I highly recommend First Midwest in Grayslake! This is how banking should be.”

“I was looking for help closing my deceased parent's accounts. Chase had frozen them. I am the executor of the estate but I couldn't get access. The paperwork was astounding !
The 800 number was no help. They said to go to a branch. There's no Chase in my small town. I drove to Crystal Lake and the person there was NO HELP AT ALL !
I happened to pass one in Grayslake on the way to another appointment. I happened to talk to James Quartey. Thank goodness ! He explained how to unlock the accounts and what paperwork he needed. He knew what I was talking about and just how to fix things. It was still a long process, but James walked me through.
I still hate Chase but James was a godsend.
Thanks so much.”

“Wonderful bank with a small town feel. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. They know me by my first name. The bank itself doesn't charge fees for this and that like some other banks. Great bank! I highly recommend!”

“This brach has very helpful employees. Ivan Figueroa Ramirez, a Financial Solutions Advisor, assisted me today. He was not only very knowledgeable, he was a truly kind person. He clearly cares about clients, and makes a personal connection. He took his time explaining options to me, and I left feeling like I'd left a bank that cares.”
