“This GI is off the interstate so it’s only slightly inconvenient if traveling cross country as we were.
The service was excellent and the Three Egg Omelettes that my wife and I had were excellent!! Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant! The cook did a great job! Check in was easy as we were a late arrival (after 1100pm). Driving from Nebraska to Maryland makes this hotel a good stop each direction! We will be back!”
“Prices are very high at times in Champaign. Older but clean and comfortable and had what I need. In AM I needed to get tooth brush. At 630 I had to wake up the desk clerk who immediately responded they don't have any. Went back at shift change and the attendant opened the drawer and handed me one.”
“For a Motel, I was nervous but the rooms are very renovated and nice. I felt the facilities were very clean but the wifi was a little wonky and the TV channels. Rooms had microwaves and fridges but only a bar soap as far as toiletries so bring your own. Overall nice for a quick stay!”
“Very helpful as I was coming in during a tornado warning in area and desk person gave best advice when I called to check on conditions . Upon arrival he was great!”

Our latest guest said that Shane treats the place and customers like she owns the place! Shane makes sure all the guests are treated great. Shane is the best. “Was traveling back to Ohio from Iowa. Got tired and decided to get a room. Most of the hotels in that area, are $100+. I have stayed at redroof inn before, so i checked it out. He had a room open and it was only $65 + tax. Room was clean and quiet. Located by lots of stuff to do and to eat. Thank you for being so nice.”

“The rooms are comfortable and well cared for. Good tv and channel options.This hallway carpet seemed worn. The staff is courteous and helpful. The breakfast was usually eggs with sausage/links. The meat sometimes didn’t appear appetizing but was edible . Limited bread options. Very little wholesome or whole grain choices. Fruit was usually apples and sometimes bananas. All in all the breakfast was better than just cereal and pastry, but I’ve had better at other Best Westerns, but we came here to sleep not dine necessarily..Remember, it’s a hotel not a restaurant.”

“Clean room but a few things wrong. Toilet seat loose and wobbles needs new bolts. Broken lower shower shelf just falling apart hanging there. Garbage disposal doesn't work (won't power on). No cooking pans just one pot.
Very friendly staff, breakfast was adequate and restocked. Great water pressure in the shower.
Overall nice experience and would stay again.”

“The illini Union has been under construction for some time, but it dates from 1940 and the rooms really show their age. Feels more like a 1970s dorm room than any type of modern hotel. Gets the job done and the location is absolutely fantastic because you're right there on campus, and I would recommend next time just staying in one of the areas or other hotels that are just two blocks away. Maybe once renovations are complete in the years ahead, it might be worth it- but today it's hard to recommend some world war II era hardware and sink faucets to anyone that's trying to visit”
“We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott for Mom's weekend at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. The stay was very pleasant. Rooms were clean and easy to find. Staff was very welcoming. During check in, we were greeted by gift bags for mom's that included face masks, spa headbands, and a voucher that allowed parents to recieve a bottle of wine during their stay. I booked this hotel for my parents while they visited the school, they could not stop talking about how happy they were with all the amenities and how all of the hotels team members always made sure their expectations were met. I would definitely be recommending the hotel per our positive experience.”
“Great spot for anyone visiting UIUC or the Champaign area for other reasons. Great location, close to everything, the staff was really friendly, and the room was nice and clean. We were there with our pet and they made sure we were in a room close to the exit for easy in and out for our doggo.”
“I was looking for hotel that allowed 19 year olds to check in and this place had an 18 and up policy and was cheap so we stayed here. It was really affordable and the staff when checking in was super friendly. The rooms were pretty nice and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was clean and working well. I will definitely stay here again!”

“My husband and I always look for this hotel because I have to use an ice pack for when I'm traveling to sit on. This place has a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, silverware, plates, bowls, cups (small kitchenette), etra items you may need in the kitchen if you are staying for a week.
We find that these places are always clean and staff are professional and friendly.
Great rate for the one night we stayed.”

1 - no warning re the construction and pool closure until two weeks ago
2- two weeks ago they called, trying to move us to a other hotel 25mins away, apparently because of the construction... your poor planning/overbooking is not the customers' problem”
“The place is gorgeous but pool was closed. It was empty too. Looks like a great place for a wedding or other gathering. Beds were clean and comfy. Room was nice but way too dark. Breakfast was hot and a pleasant surprise given we were the only ones there. Price was great! Would stay again.”
