Candlewood Suites Springfield by IHG is a clean, comfortable, and affordable hotel that offers a safe and welcoming environment for guests. Located near the interstate, it provides convenient access to nearby restaurants and a grocery store with Tesla superchargers just a mile away. The hotel features spacious rooms with full-sized kitchens, allowing guests to prepare meals, and offers essential shower amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The bedding and pillows are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the hotel includes an on-site gym and pantry for added convenience.
Despite some wear and tear visible upon closer inspection, the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and service. The staff is consistently courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful, with standout employees providing exceptional customer service and making guests feel valued. The front desk staff, especially one staff member, is praised for their kindness and helpfulness, including during check-in and when addressing issues such as room temperature problems. The hotel has also demonstrated flexibility and excellent customer service in emergency situations, such as accommodating a large wedding party on short notice after another hotel canceled reservations.
While the hotel does not offer breakfast, it provides quick snacks for sale and basic amenities to meet guests' needs. Overall, Candlewood Suites Springfield is highly recommended for its spacious rooms, friendly staff, and reliable service, making it a great choice for both short stays and special occasions.
In a town where even the Crown Plaza gets bad reviews this place is A-OK! Newish, clean, well appointed. The free guest laundry is value-added. Checkin was delightful thanks to Jenasia (prob spelled wrong).

We transferred here at the last moment after our reserved room at the residence Inn was so hot, we could not sleep in it. this is a no-frills hotel but it’s quiet clean and seems to be safe. Well done.
