“Seriously the best little hidden gem there is! I have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the United States and this is by far the best Ramada we’ve been to! From check in, to walking down the halls, just grabbing breakfast or even going to laundry EVERY single employee had a smile on their face and said “good morning” or “good afternoon” and that means more to me than a fancy hotel! They are very accommodating and willing to help with anything you need, it’s very hard to find a hotel in Springfield that you don’t feel like you’re paying an arm & a leg for, and also being able to sleep at night knowing your belongings were okay outside in your vehicle. Seriously 10/10 would recommend staying here, their breakfast is amazing which they’re constantly restocking! Can’t say enough good things ☺️”

“Upon checking in one of the two toilets was used. There was urine and 2 pieces of paper floating in it. The seat was down and the lid was up. I informed Robert about it and he gave us some extra points. I would have preferred to have had one night comped but I was not in a combative mood. Otherwise th stay was relaxing.”

“I visited Springfield, IL last month to say goodbye to my wonderful childhood friend who was dying of cancer. When researching on Google for a decent hotel that was reasonably priced, this one kept coming up. Since I was traveling, my husband made the reservation for me. When I checked in, the woman at the desk was kind and very helpful in getting my room. The hotel is near the interstate which is convenient, and there are a few restaurants nearby that have good ratings as well. The hotel is a little tired and has some wear and tear if you look hard, but is very clean, serviceable, comfortable and with a great staff! There is no breakfast offered at this hotel, but the room has a full sized kitchen in a small space with everything you could possibly need to make a meal. They do have food for sale in a room down near the desk if you just want something quick to microwave or just have a snack. There is also a grocery store about a mile north of the hotel at the corner of Dirksen Pkwy and S. Grand Ave along with some Tesla super chargers. They have all of the shower amenities you would need in the bathroom, like shampoo, conditioner and body soap, as I'd forgotten mine in my rush to get up north. The bed, bedding and pillows (offering a combination of soft and firm pillows) was very comfortable and I think I had the best sleep I'd had in a while! All of the people I interacted with at this hotel were kind, courteous and full of knowledge of the area. One person in particular stood out, and her name was Chantaria (I sure hope I spelled it right). She was the one that helped me with check in (as there was a slight issue) and I had the most wonderful conversation with her later on when I came back down to ask some questions. I will definitely stay with Candlewood Suites in Springfield on any future trips I make to the area, they offer a clean, comfortable and safe place to stay with a wonderful staff!”

“What a great first experience with Drury! Stayed 3 nights. Super friendly staff, great amenities, comfy rooms, plenty parking, great hot breakfast, and tasty evening kickback (drink and light super). Will certainly choose Drury when available in pur travels.”

“Stayed here on 6.14.2025. Despite being an older hotel, I appreciate the rooms that have a cozy feel to them and that haven't lost their character after being upgraded. The room was clean and Spacious, the shower was hot, and the bed was very comfortable. There was a decent selection of items at breakfast the morning I checked out. KUDOS to Mark and Christian who worked the front desk. I would definitely stay at this location again.”

“When arriving at the property, I was skeptical due to the lack of upkeep outside and around the property. I was pleasantly surprised that the inside was clean and welcoming. The front desk staff was amazing!! The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again”

“This hotel perfectly fit our needs. It was within walking distance of the major attractions (Lincoln Museum, Old and New State Capitals, restaurants) and had a large parking lot, free for guests. The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean and the continental breakfast was adequate for a non-gluten free person. I needed to supplement the breakfast offerings with my own gluten free food, something I am used to doing. The area is quiet although there are train tracks nearby and a freight train that passes from time to time. A major hospital is across the street but we never heard ambulance noise. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Springfield.”

“The motel is much better right now and made a few changes which are good. The doors were updated and the rooms are maintained well in my. 1 week of stay ... There are vending machines if you wanted to grab some snacks ..Grab and go ??”

“One night stay in early July last year during my road trip, booked by my travel agency. The dirt in the photos was already there when I entered the room. I did not report it to the reception. I could have given 3 and a half stars if it was possible for the room.”

“I do a lot of traveling and spend sixty to seventy days at motel sixes per year. Also, having a dog along really saves me a lot of money because they do not charge for a pet. They are always clean and the staff is almost always friendly

“I stayed one night during my long travels from the south to the north. The location is good. Other businesses nearby and well lit. The location felt safe. For the price, this was a good stay for me. My room was clean and nicely decorated. I had a slight issue with the shower door which caused water to go onto the floor as it did not seal tight. I informed staff in case they were not aware and so they have the chance to fix it. Breakfast in the morning was more than enough and included eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits/gravy, toast, yogurt, waffles, coffee, juice, fruits, oatmeal, and 2 kinds of cereal. The area and other guests were quiet which made for a good night's sleep. I would stay here again.”

“We came here as a party of 4 for the All you can eat dinner--- the place was busy, the service was fast, our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and relaxing... She greeted us with a smile, later throughout our visit, she engaged us in conversations, she made sure our glasses were filled in a timely manner... We ordered and our food came out hot, fresh, and turned out to be better than I thought it would be... Our waitress made sure to bring out a fresh plate of food every time she noticed that we had eaten what we had ordered until everyone had agreed that they were full... Yes, I will go back again...”

“When I first got here the place looked very amazing even though the pride fest was just down the road from me. Loved it! Every second, the beds were so comfy that I can just sleep very and joyfully. I met a new friend here that show me around as a tour guide but maybe just more than a tour guide. A platonic friend that's under a romantic shell

I stayed there from the May 15th through the 17th. Most likely will come back for this hotel to plan my next trip ☺️”

“Great location and great customer service. Room was clean but later in the night had a cockroach crawl on the nightstand. Breakfast was lame and not much, only toast, yogurt, and cereal.”
