“I took my car in for a muffler repair. After he looked at it he called me the problem, the estimated price, told me all the options, and gave me the choice to do what I wanted. I chose and he did it promptly! When it was done I was very satisfied with it! It is so quiet that I have to look at the tachometer to know if the car is on or not!! Before that I had taken it in for brake line problems and he fixed all that too!! I would highly recommend taking your car there. If my cars has issues again I will definitely take it there again!”

“Over the years I've had brakes, tires changed and repaired, bearings, oil changes and other items taken care of by Gauger. He always is efficient and honest in all my dealings with him and never tries to overcharge or raise the price after the fact. The one other review from the person that pulled her car in front of his parking lot entrance is a completely unfair evaluation of his service as a mechanic. Down the street along his business is residential and has plenty of parking and I really don't see why any courteous person would block a business's parking lot when there are blocks worth of empty spaces just 50 feet away and THEN give a poor rating because she was too selfish to be aware”

“The people at Brooks were right on target when they diagnosed the problem with my Subaru transmission, quoted cost and time it'd take to repair and the final bill was exactly what was quoted (well $11 more because of taxes on parts). But at $1600 - when other shops were spouting estimates of $3,000 or more - for the repair that $11 is minor. Everyone I met and talked to there was nice, pleasant and friendly. Reading through a couple negative posts on here about Brooks makes me wonder if those posts are from a spiteful competitor or an axe-to-grind customer that aren't taking their meds and brings their wrath down on everyone they meet. Brooks gets a big A+ from me (first time customer).”
