We always have a great experience at REI in Vernon Hills. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. We shop here for athletic shoes and outdoor gear, and my husband recently bought a bike the service was amazing from start to finish.
We’re also REI members, and the member deals make it even better. The store is big, easy to shop, and has a great selection you can actually see and try on.”
“This location is my favorite of the few I’ve been to, and mostly because of the employees and how wonderful they have been every time I’ve been in!
This most recent visit brought me back 3 times, as I failed to try the items on the first day, returned a second to exchange one item, to then have to bring that second item back, a third time. This time I knew exactly what I needed as far as style and size, and all 3 times, Barbara was there, and smiling just as wide, and just as knowledgeable and kind each time! “The staff was super friendly and helpful without being overbearing. There was a huge sale going on and they had a great selection to choose from.
Gotta give a special shout-out to the manager Sofi, when the item we wanted wasn't available in-store she offered to call another store that showed up online as having the item. When that didn't pan out she reached out to a friend at the outlet store and was able to locate it and have it set aside for me. She truly personified excellent customer service in a time where that is so frequently not the norm.”
