After Walgreens in Washington was unable to get the specific manufacturer of my son’s medication, the only one he can safely take due to an allergic reaction to another manufacturer, we were feeling frustrated and worried. Cole refused to give up. Instead of simply telling us it wasn’t available, he went above and beyond, making phone calls, searching every possible avenue, and doing everything he could to find the medication my son needed. His determination, compassion, and willingness to advocate for his patients is something you don’t see every day. To our surprise and absolute delight, Cole found a way to get the exact manufacturer my son needed. We were honestly amazed. “Let me just say, I love Walgreens, but by far this location is probably my favorite! First of all, all Walgreens have a little bit of everything and some are open 24 hours a day. This location is not, but that is okay. They make up for it in service. Many times, they contact me about our families prescriptions personally. The pharmacy are very patient and respectful. I enjoy going here also because the store is always clean and th store staff members are always friendly and helpful.”

Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
