“My family and I have been going to Wednesday night dinners for nearly 3 years now; my father is a Vietnam vet and also a member at Post 2164. They have dinner specials Tues thru Friday. Every food item I've tried has been excellent; cooked/made to order so it's always fresh. The atmosphere is personable, friendly, casual and fun. They have live acoustic musicians every Wednesday (not sure of other nights) who are phenomenal. The staff is all volunteer- so I always tip well because they're all great! It's a relaxed family atmosphere and facilities (bar, bar dining, video gaming, main hall, and washrooms) are always clean and comfortable. Even if you've never been, by the end of your visit I bet you'll have at least one or two new acquaintances who would inevitably you'd become friends with; staff and customers are so personable it's easy to strike up conversation. The main hall can also be rented out for parties/celebrations, etc. Wednesdays are also classic cars night where people can bring their vintage, classic, made from scratch, or hot rods to show. It's just a great place with excellent people and good food at reasonable prices and a fully stocked bar. If you've never been you should give it a try!!”

“I went there as a chaperone for my son's field trip. It was full of fun things to do and educatuonal stuff. The kids could learn about how people lived in 1980s, and what houses and schools looked like 200 years ago. The coolest thing was that we could see the process of horseshoe making. In the blacksmith shop, a lady showed us the whole process from iron melting to cooling it up. It's definitely worth visiting especially with young kids.”
“As bowling alleys are falling 1 by 1 regularly, this center does a good job taking care of the lanes and machines while upgrading everything else and staying Modern. Managed well with reasonable prices. Great for league, open bowling and parties.”
“Sawmill Sports Hub is basically the Disney World of suburban sports—minus the mouse ears and plus the smell of gym floor cleaner. It’s a big, shiny, newer facility with a full-sized soccer field, multiple volleyball courts, and basketball courts so nice you’ll be tempted to lace up and relive your “glory days” (before remembering your knees are not what they used to be).
There’s plenty of seating for all the helicopter parents, so you can hover over your kid’s every move in comfort. Bonus points for the prime people-watching—nothing like seeing a dad go full NBA coach over an 8-year-old’s rec league game.
And when the inevitable “I’m huuungry” hits—whether it’s your kid or you—the concession stand is right there to save the day. They’ve got snacks for post-game celebrations, mid-game bribery, or just stress-eating through overtime.
Overall, it’s clean, spacious, and well-run. Whether you’re here for soccer, volleyball, basketball, or just to perfect your sideline commentary, Sawmill delivers.

“I've been a proud Member of NCC for 32+ years. Our golf course was renovated 2005-07 and is always in perfect playing condition. Our clubhouse and dining facilities were expanded and modernized in 2021 and our food and staff have never been better. Although we've had a waiting list for several years, NCC is the best value in the western suburbs and Member opportunities are available. “Such a fun little gem, especially for families with young kids! The unlimited indoor carousel rides were definitely the star of the visit and made everything feel extra special. It’s a cute, charming place where little ones can really enjoy themselves. We loved that the carousel rides were indoors too, which made it even more convenient and fun. Just a friendly heads-up: they close at 2 PM, so it’s best to come early to make the most of your visit. Definitely a sweet little spot for family fun!”

“We went here for a wedding reception. It is a lovely venue. The setup is perfect for weddings.
We had a great view of the pond which actually was fun watching some wildlife.
Our food was quite tasty- there were some people whose beef was overdone and they were bummed but overall the food was good.
The service was great. Our server was on top of things and made sure we had everything we needed and then some.”

“I had my baby shower here and it was more than any of us could have asked for! It was right in town, plenty of room to accommodate everyone, more than enough time for set up and tear down and very affordable! Warren Tavern has an old time charm to it and I think that is what makes it so special. We also had a person of contact for the day in case we were to need anything. I’d host any special event at Warren Tavern!”

“King’s Hall Banquets stood out from other venues with the marvelous theming with beautiful chandeliers and décor. Right from the moment you enter, it is as though you are transported back into a Medieval Time wealthy castle, with embellished tile floors, walls and ceiling. Portraits of Kings line the walls as you enter the lobby to one of two rooms. The Banquet hall and dancefloor continue with the medieval time theming and we truly felt like royalty on our wedding day.
The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty for people to take home at the end. The servers were kind and attentive to our needs. We did not even need a florist as this location has lovely and natural-looking table toppers. Napkins were available in practically every possible shade of any color and many table cloth colors were available too.
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming. We often visited the banquet hall weeks before the wedding to ensure all wedding details were as we envisioned, which the owner made a reality for us to have the perfect wedding. The banquet hall is located close to the highway and the parking lot is large, which is highly convenient for guests coming in from all over.”

“Hotel Arista was the perfect venue for you. From the start, Katie was very responsive, helpful, and just so easy to work with. We went from not wanting a hotel wedding at all, to having our reception there. Katie was always there to answer my questions and thoroughly answer them, from questions about the contract to random ones throughout. She made the whole process so much easier! Her help and flexibility made such a difference.
The entire staff at Hotel Arista is amazing! Everyone we worked with was so friendly and accomodating. The reservations team made it so easy to have rooms added to our block and explained things to me when we had questions. Everyone was so immaculate.
Our reception was absolutely perfect! Everyone loved the food, the ballroom was beautiful, and Katie and the staff made everything go off without an issue. A few things did come up, but they were quickly resolved.
Also, our cake was through a local bakery, part of the contract, which makes things easier (one less vendor to try and source) and everyone raved about it.
With everything Hotel Arista provides, it's so convenient! You aren't trying to source out multiple vendors because they don't provide them - Hotel Arista takes the work out, and provides top of line ones for you.
We loved going from our reception, to the bar with our friends, and then to our rooms on our wedding night. No coordinating on how to get there or who was, just everyone walked over there, and the party kept going.
If we could do it all over again, we would definitely pick Hotel Arista!”

“I recently stayed at the hotel for a yearly birthday/pool get away. Winnie at the front desk was super accommodating and welcoming. The rooms were cleaning happy they were able to get our rooms by the pool area. The pool temp was warm along with the pool area with temps outside dipping to -22 windchills. Devon at the restaurant/bar was just great too! One complaint...BRING BACK THE QUESIDILLAS! lol”
