“Today I stopped while in White Hall. When back in IL, I always make a trip there, to visit the cemetery. The man making the pizzas, this afternoon, truly goes above and beyond. He is polite, cheerful, & exceptionally helpful! He offered to make a cheese pizza, even though I told him I only wanted 1-2 slices. He said if I could wait 6 - 7 minutes he would be happy to make a fresh pizza for me. Next, he suggested that if I’d rather wait in the car, he would run it out for me. Which he did with a big ol’ smile! Excellent customer service. If I owned a business, you are exactly the person I’d want to represent my business! Please let him I believe the world could benefit from more people like him!

I contacted the store the day after and spoke to the manager about the issue and she was very polite and helpful and made things right!
I order from them all the time and this is the first bad experience I’ve had and I understand sometimes people just have bad days!
I also updated the ratings as I don’t believe one bad experience should overshadow all the good ones!
I ordered two large pizza’s ($7 off deal for two) last night for curbside pickup, the app stated they would be ready at 5:40pm. I drove to Casey’s to pick up the pizza and used the app to notify the store I was there at 5:40pm, I waited 15 minutes outside and no one came out so I went inside to get the pizza and the lady that was there tried to hand me one and I told her that I ordered two large (one pepperoni w/extra cheese and one pepperoni & sausage w/extra cheese and showed her the order summary on the app, she proceeded to completely ignore me and went about her business cutting single sliced pizza to put into the display. I stood there for a good 20 minutes asking her if the pizza was even started and she ignored me completely! I eventually left without the two pizzas I ordered!”

“I'm all about customer service and friendly people in general. The business world can learn a lot by going to Scotty's or really any business in White Hall, IL. Go south from Jacksonville, IL about 30 minutes and look for the classic sign. I hope they never get rid of that sign! Scotty's is small but had everything I needed. The gas pump was probably 20-30+ years old but it worked great. I don't want a gas pump to play commercials and blare music at me because I am standing there hostage. I forgot how nice it was to just look around in silence and think about the road ahead. I also left a pic of BOTH stoplights in town. This isn't to make fun of it but instead to point out what a nice quiet place it still is compared to so many other towns that have been swallowed up by highways. Finally, about the customer service. I was greeted, talked to again, told to have a great day, and smiled at. But the high point was when this nice woman practically tore the defective machine apart in front of me just to get me two cups of hot chocolate. That my friends is customer service. Take a trip to Scotty's and check it out. Just don't count on hot chocolate. LOL?if you like this review. It'll help me do better in the next review.”
