“Great selection (mostly online but decent in-store), great service, speedy delivery. Sarah in sales was super responsive. I started my renovation project at Studio 41 near Merchandise Mart (near my job) and in Lincolnwood (near nothing) and while the team in Lincolnwood was MUCH nicer than the folks on Hubbard (it wouldn't take much) there wasn't nearly the responsiveness and pricing transparency that I got at Ferguson. I was initially very overwhelmed by by master bath rehab- Sarah was easy to work with and worked well with my contractor to replace a Kohler tub that arrived with minor damage. Totally a 5 star experience”
“When a house we purchased turned out to have improper venting that was not up to code for 2 fireplaces, we were despondent at the of thought of major construction to correct the problem. A friend referred us to American Heritage, and they recommended switching to ventless fireplaces and sealing off the chimneys avoiding a huge headache. We went with their reco and could not be happier. Installation was professional and excellent and their customer service post-purchase has always been great. Highly recommend.”
“There are 2 ways to get to the docks. Id suggest the green route. As flatbeds unload in the home depot driveway. There's quite a bit of room to back in. They were fast to unload.”

“This is the thing I love about Coles and why our next purchase will be from them: each person is kind and has the training, knowledge, and, most important of all, the authority to actually solve problems, not merely be sympathetic about them. Great place. I highly recommend them. I needed a favor, a seemingly simple favor but a favor nevertheless. I called all the big box stores. They were, for the most part, kind and, in an odd way, responsive: they killed me with encouragement. But after three weeks of encouraging phone calls with Customer Service agents and managers alike, and unanswered phone calls and promised but unreceived emails from the folk who might could actually do the favor, I was no where but two weeks behind: everyone said this should be possible but no one could do it, despite being willing to. Remarkably, it was an Orange Big Box Customer Service agent in rural Kansas who lead me to Coles. She said to me, "When I needed this I called my local furniture store." I said, "There aren't any anymore where I'm from." I was wrong. It took 24 hours. I found Coles on my first online search and was embarrassed to realize they have been in my neighborhood a few decades longer than I have. I got Kevin first call, first ring. He said, "No problem," and put me in touch with Charles. Who responded promptly by email. And by the next day I was on the phone with Mark on one of the trucks. Problem solved. And then some. Most big purchases I dread. The research. The feeling all along that the house has rigged the game no matter how hard I work. My next big purchase I am actually looking forward to because it will be from Coles.”

“I have dealt with Ferguson a few times. Each time has been a stellar experience. The sales staff are efficient and helpful, both online and in the showroom. When I had a problem with an item there was no problem with the return and the credit quickly followed. The selection available in the showroom is terrific and covers a wide price range so anyone can manage there. And lastly, their delivery service is truly remarkable. Most places offer a wide time window but do not update you about timing - Ferguson sends you the name of the delivery person, their number and has them call you with time updates and a map of where they are in relation to your home. Honestly, I could not be happier or more impressed with this company and hw they run.”
“Understand what You are buying. I went in by myself, not being a plumbing expert I bought Cadillac parts for a Chevy project. My plumber came with me and straightened the situation out. This is a full service plumbing supply house. Anything needed for a project can be found here.”

“It is a great place to visualize several home improvement things before making a purchase. I rent equipment sometimes too for "do it yourself" projects around my home. The staff is very helpful with several very knowledgeable folks who can provide assistance when trying to figure the right items out based on our needs. I was buying retractable curtains but they were too wide and needed to be cut. The people there were very helpful and showed me how to do it with patience. I love their garden items too. I wish they were a little less expensive on those items.”

I called in asking about an igniter and one the gentlemen helped me find the part I was looking for. When I walked in, he already set the part aside so it would be ready when I walked in. I've already recommended them and I'm looking forward to coming back.”
“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”
“This is the store I usually go to for garden supplies. The store is always clean and well organized, with friendly associates. I had great experience at the store today when picking up 8 bags of garden soil by myself. The store associate Umar generously helped me haul the loaded cart to my car and loaded all of them into my trunk. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the neighborhood.”
