We were fortunate to stop by when they were serving lunch and had delicious pulled pork and brisket sandwiches! Sophie was amazing behind the bar and was very helpful with recommendations for the craft beers on tap as well as the delicious cocktails. I‘ll be taking home some bbq supplies back down south as well”

A huge commitment but I'm happy with the results. Kevin was very helpful as I bought the appliances, arranged for delivery, and followed up with minor adjustments once the kitchen appliances were installed and I started to use them. He listened to what I wanted and directed me to specific brands and models, I had much more personal attention here than I've had anywhere else and I feel comfortable that I made the right decision to go with Coles and to buy what Kevin recommended.”

I started my renovation project at Studio 41 near Merchandise Mart (near my job) and in Lincolnwood (near nothing) and while the team in Lincolnwood was MUCH nicer than the folks on Hubbard (it wouldn't take much) there wasn't nearly the responsiveness and pricing transparency that I got at Ferguson. I was initially very overwhelmed by by master bath rehab- Sarah was easy to work with and worked well with my contractor to replace a Kohler tub that arrived with minor damage. Totally a 5 star experience”

“I am not very happy with them. I ordered a vanity, and worked with a designer who was not responsive at all. I emailed about delivery, came over to ask her about timing, and she said she will be getting back to me. I was also supposed to order the rest of my master bath as well, but she was completely unresponsive. I also called the store to give them my contractor's number, so they can coordinate with him when I am out of the country. They called me, of course, on the date of delivery. They brought the delivery on time, but did not bring one of the sinks because it was backordered; they did not bother to tell me that when they were supposed to deliver the vanity. Bottom line- order from a different place. This is not professional at all. Review update: I discussed the issues with Dan, the manager, and he helped tremendously in navigating everything; He went above and beyond. I really appreciate his customer service.”

If you are confused how to get there just put the Home Depot address in GPS and follow directions, they share same yard where both of their docks are (behind home depot). It’s easier to take kimball exit off the highway I 90.”

“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”

I refuse to shop at your biggest competitor as their prices are too high and they charge fees for every little thing! “I’ve been a contractor with the J.S. team for about 10 years now. My most common J.S. Location was the Chicago Elston location and currently the Knox location. That being said, it’s pretty rare to come across guys who know how to run the counter and get you in/out in a quick, efficient, yet personable manner while also being knowledgeable about the HVAC trade. You really don’t get how rare that is (I’ve had accounts at just about every HVAC supply house in the city and surrounding burbs). I appreciate the ones who noticeably go the extra mile and ultimately are the reason why I stay committed to J.S. Even though my primary location is Knox Ave, there are often times where I choose to visit a specific location just to have the peace of mind that I know I’ll get treated in a manner that I wish every supply house offered. Any loyal customers/ contractors know that quality of service matters.
