“Anthony is the real deal. He’s now fixed my Technics turntables AND my QSC monitor, and every time the work has been flawless. Super knowledgeable, honest, and easy to work with — you can tell he genuinely knows this gear inside and out.
Prices are fair, turnaround is solid, and he actually takes the time to explain what’s going on instead of just rushing you out the door. If you’re a DJ or musician in Chicago, this is one of those spots you want in your back pocket.

“Yesterday, I visited this store and purchased a new phone. Natalia was the one who assisted me, and I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful, polite, and smooth she was. She possesses extensive knowledge, and the entire process of transferring my number took only a few minutes. This was by far the best experience I have ever had in a cellphone store. Natalia truly deserves a big promotion and should be a supervisor. It is extremely rare to encounter such a remarkable personality in the sales department. I was biking and my phone fell out of my pocket and the screen was cracked and the phone was unresponsive and all black no visual. I called the store and they gave me a GREAT price to fix it. I came in the store dropped off my phone went to go get coffee and he called me saying it was fixed before i even finished my coffee! super fast maybe 15-20 minutes which is perfect since i use my phone for work so i cant be without it and this store made sure i didnt have to! Would definitely recommend this to anyone i know and hopefully i dont crack my phone but if i do ill know to come here!! BEST REPAIR STORE! ??

“Joe and Bob at Royal Home Entertainment were able to magically transform my “rat’s nest” of dozens of non-terminated and unlabeled cat5 cables into a seamless multi-room wifi system controlling four rooms and two 5.1 surround theater areas, using different TVs (one TCL Roku and one Sharp) across a mesh network. It took two days of hard work but Bob was incredibly patient throughout the process, tenacious, answered all my questions, worked closely with the Denom support team, and spent extra time and effort (at no cost) making it all look cosmetically nice by adding new wall plates and organizing the mess of cables. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!”

“I had to take my JBL Ti-6k floor speakers, with curved sail shaped cabinets (only 5 surfaces), that were never available for sale in US to a shop that could repair and refurbish them. My speakers were particularly challenging due to post location(on the bottom), and cabinet shape. I had purchased some audio gear from Saturday Audio Exchange previously, so I called them and asked who does their repairs. I was told Van L Speaker works.
When I dropped my speakers off, John took the time to demo some his own units, and talk through advantages of a curved cabinet, but also the challenges due to the shape. He had produced curved cabinets previously, and his knowledge on the subject was staggering. These unicorn speakers were in good hands.
I was called with some upgrade options for my speakers, and updated timelines.The drivers, the component upgrades, and the work done have given these rare birds an incredible new life. The first time I heard them , I couldn't stop giggling. These have gone from extremely rare to irreplaceable, and I could not be happier or more pleased with the work that was performed. Van L's expertise is a premium service. Advice is part of the price. As I build my new system around these speakers, I called a week after I picked them up to get some advice for a receiver. Frank took time, and gave me the information I needed, and stopped me from making a purchase mistake I would have rather not lived with.

“Roman Sokolov and his brother are special gifts to the Chicago area if you're in possession of medium to hi-end amplifiers and equipment. I've gone to them for years with an array of issues. Starting with a repair on the volume pot on my college 1980 Aiwa integrated amp that I was sure was destine for the recycle bin. I've got a higher end Tandberg power, preamp and FM tuner set that he keeps like new for me. Be ready to see more piled up old electronics than you've ever seen in one place. But Roman is organized and first rate. You won't find people doing their work anymore.”
