“This is the 3rd place I’ve been looking for and the closest thing I have found to my nostalgic 90’s comic book store I grew up with. A place where staff- get this actually interact with you. It’s refreshing- they have great stock, the name is badass, & the vibes are great.I love that the first time I was in the store and Wes Anderson’s, Fantastic Mr Fox was playing and the quote “But In The End, He's Just Another Dead Rat In A Garbage Pail Behind A Chinese Restaurant." was muttered in the background. I chuckled and contained on to enjoying every moment I was in there. Keep it up guys!”
“What a used bookstore should be: piles of books covering every surface, fair prices, obscure and hard to find items along side forgotten gems (and not fifty copies of best sellers choking the shelves). Tasteful selection of gifts and knick knacks that doesn't take away from the glory of the page.Before you go: Pack light! Certain nooks and crannies can get a bit claustrophobic, and a full backpack will inevitably knock stuff over and block the isles for you and other customers.”

I bought books from their website and paid with PayPal. But I needed to return some of the books. Unfortunately I wasn't aware that I couldn't have the money refunded to my original payment method because PayPal doesn't give a card so they could only return it for store credit.
But I don't shop at barnes and nobles often so I didn't want the store credit. I was originally going to ship it back, but I would have to pay for shipping myself. And shipping 4 heavy books is very expensive.
But jonathan and Carla were very patient with me, and offered me a 1 time courtesy of them shipping it back on my behalf. I really appreciated their help. Their kindness definitely made my day.”

“This is the kind of bookstore I remember from my youth but is almost extinct now. A labyrinth of books with gems hidden everywhere. If you're looking for a tight organizational system, accessible aisles/stairways, or pre priced books welllll: go elsewhere. This place rules and I'm so glad it exists”

“Without a doubt, my favorite book store in the city. Their inventory is somewhat limited because of their small footprint, but it is constantly changing, so there's always a reason to stop in. They offer generous store credit for your used books (often two or three times as much as Half Price Books offers for the same books). The staff is universally charming, be they human or canine, and they place a wonderful emphasis on local artists with their offeringnof stickers and zines.”

Didn’t love that the workers stared and followed us as we explored; would’ve been nice to be greeted at least; found that aspect of this visit to be unsettling and made me want to leave. It was a nice little stop to warm up before heading to the movies though!”

“Today was our first visit and loved browsing all the items and deciding what we wanted. Very nice selection of books at a very reasonable price. Picked up some mala beads (very reasonably priced), can always use more incense:). A nice beginners sized sound bowl for a nice price as well. We will definitely be back!!! “Did they grow too fast or something else happen?I was gifted a subscription a few years ago and it was absolutely amazing. Honestly got me back into reading fiction after a very long hiatus. I’d look forward to each new book and effusively recommend to friends and family since my first selection. Just flat out greatWas gifted my third subscription this year. Got a notice that they were running late and did eventually receive two great picks in March… but nothing since. Have written a number of emails, but similar to other recent reviewers have had no response. I’m still holding out a shred of hope that they get it together, but getting pretty sad about losing something so awesome”
