“A little gem hidden off the main roads.This place is a lovely little hobby shop, but there are some challenges. It once was a storefront in Evanston, but since moving to its current location, I can see how it could be missed if you are not looking for it. So no sidewalk traffic. BUT for those of us who know it's there, we get all the goodies to ourselves. I do feel that some things don't get restocked because there's so much product in one space, and it may appear that they're trying to sell off all the things they already have, BUT there are things here you won't find at other stores, especially if you are into miniatures and dollhouses.Luckily I don't live far, so I try to swing by everytime I need something. The hours are a bit weird for those of us who work all day, but that's not a deal breaker. Nice staff, quality stuff. Worth the trip, just keep in mind you'll buy stuff you didn't even know you needed or wanted. I rarely leave without spending at least $75. Go visit- looking at all the things is an activity alone.I can't wait to have a daughter someday so I can build a custom dollhouse.”
“Where to start with Magic Inc. One word, GREAT!!!I love magic, but it's hard and expensive and takes skills, right. Well, yeah. (full disclosure, I am a beginner with magic, and this is the second magic store I have been to, for what it is worth...)But, if you are in Chicago and want to dip your toes into this skill, magic, you have to go to Magic Inc. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular just to hang out and learn from the staff and clients.Even if you just want to go to an incredibly awesome store, head to Magic Inc. No intimidation here what so ever!Friendly and professional staff that just happen to be magicians! Wow.Just walk in, say you want to learn a little about magic, and you will see some amazing things that you just might walk out with. I went in for two decks of cards and left with a great 'how to' book and two other tricks that I, a beginning magician, could do (at least my great neices think so...)Thanks, Pedro, for making my visit incredible! Keith, Patty, and Sam take their family business seriously and consistently exceed my expectations. Dating back to their original storefront in Winnetka and now downtown Wilmette, Bleachers’ art pieces are unique, eye catching, and professionally appointed. Yes, the prints, sports jerseys, and other inventory are rare, but it all really comes together with the expert framing. The matting around the piece always brings out the colors even more, transforming it to a true piece of art that looks wonderful on my home walls. Furthermore, upon request, they will procure rare prints via their network connections. It’s always a pleasant shopping experience at Bleachers in Wilmette. My basement walls would agree.”

“Incredible shop, something for every level collector. You will not leave empty handed. The clerk it knowledgeable and willing to advise if needed. If your looking for something extremely specific I would call first a few days before so he can set it aside, at times they are busy. And cannot hunt the very rare and obscure. None the less I love the shop but no longer live in the state.”

Owner is a real nice guy who you can tell loves his job. Only problem is the prices can get real high sometimes for some reason. Though you can usually get a pretty good deal from the owner.”

“Recently purchased a new frame to display my diploma, which I had allowed to languish in the closet for decades and was reminded that in addition to craft items, Michael's also had a frame department. The frame, being oversized, had some built in hangers, but since I didn't feel comfortable with aligning the screw-in units on the wall, I simply wanted an old fashioned wire hanger on the back. Given my experience with other frame shops, I expected I would have to drop it off and come back the following week to pick it up. The young gentleman working in the department, Flavius, surprised me by telling me I could swing back within the hour and pick it up. I went off to do some shopping at the Eddie Bauer Outlet and within a half hour received a phone call from Flavius telling me I could pick up the frame! Thanks, Flavius, for a great experience. Wish all shopping could be this excellent.”

Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”
