“A Tale of Two Shops – just one example of how great Nofsinger’s has been over the years, as Dave is always quick to consult or scan my cars even when busy, and has always been more than reasonable.
Using technology many independent shops lack, Dave diagnosed my intermittent airbag light as a failing clock spring and then determined that Hyundai had a problem with the part so I might be able to get it repaired free at a dealership. No charge from Dave.
Sure enough, I found a technical service bulletin and an extension of the warranty to 15 years. This should be the end of the story, but you can always count on dealers to make Nofsinger’s look good. I booked a service appointment at a dealership in Villa Park (also reviewed) and insisted that they have the part in stock by the time I came so I wouldn’t have to go twice.
Short version: They didn’t have the part but didn’t tell me until I’d been there 2.5 hours waiting for an oil change I’d added and an open recall (underbody treatment) I’d agreed to only because I thought I was getting it all over with at once.
On top of that, the service writer told me the job would cost $700 when the part came in. Gee, I wonder where dealers get their bad reputations? After I pushed back, he scurried off to a manager and then returned to confirm there would be no charge, but there was never anything close to an apology.
I never went back. I got the part for $27 and installed it myself literally in 20 minutes. If I’d gone back to Nofsinger’s (where they’re always patient with my DIY endeavors), I guarantee it wouldn’t have cost $700. Or $200. They can do way more than you think, and if they can’t, they admit it.”

“I had a piece of plastic, possibly a cover or protective piece on the underside of my vehicle hanging down and dragging along the road, I stopped by the dealership on Golf Road but of course they were busy. I brought it down the street to Abby, and Chris briefly paused his current job to roll my car on the rack and fix it, and he didn't charge me for it. “Had the unfortunate fate of snapping an axle today and my driver Francisco came within 15 minutes and helped me without a problem , especially with my lowered car, great experience. I could not mention not one negative aspect of my tow. “Despite their shop is very busy with newer vehicles, easier to repair, they accepted to work on my old sprinter. I can confirm that MG AUTO LTD technicians are the best! It was a long list of faults, a lot of work, and they did a great job on my vehicle, no issues more then two months of driving it, after they performed the service. I was really impressed when they discovered broken leaf springs which was a big safety issues! Both leaf springs had large cracks at hidden, hard to see spots, so I was not aware of their existence, but they couldn't escape from these guys! I got one year warranty on parts and lifetime warranty on labor! I wouldn't let anyone else to work on my vehicle after my experience in this Sprinter Repair Shop.
