“I love this store so much sometimes I invent reasons to go there. But seriously, they are always so helpful (many times they are literally standing at the front door waiting to help people as they come in) and I can get exactly what I need and how many I need (screws, clips, washers or whatever small item you need that is kept in bins and sold individually), a key made, cleaning supplies and I’ve even bought my crickets for my bearded dragon. Might be the best store in Bloomington.”

“When riding by on my bicycle, my backpack burst at the seams, so I went in to get some tape and found So Much more. My Briggs and Stratton spark plugs were nearly $5 less than any of the big box stores. Like a hidden gem, I'll definitely be going there Much More often!”

“Incredibly helpful; exactly what a local hardware store and rental place should be! On the rental side, they ask really helpful questions about what I'm looking to do, and offer multiple suggestions for how to achieve it. They're honest about pricing, and always quick to offer options that are more cost-effective, while explaining any trade-offs involved. There's a great variety of equipment, and they have trailers you can rent along with the equipment if you don't have your own. On the retail side, it's very well-stocked for the square footage. When I came in mid-car-project, they worked with me to come up with a combination of pipes/breaker bars that gave me the leverage I needed. (Still use that combo of tools years later!) Ellettsville True Value has always done right by me, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs rental equipment or hardware that comes with an experienced partner in your success!”

“Friendly helpful staff. A good selection of tools that are usually in stock. Exchanging/returning products is simple and nearly painless. The aisles are decently organized and clean. I have been to many Harbor freight tools across the country and this one is pretty nice.”

“Great store, very helpful & nice employees. I was so happy to find this store. Needed some stuff for a camper, they had it. I ended up buying several things I wasn’t going there to buy. Next time I need to go a hardware store, I will go here.”

“This is one of my most favorite places ever! They welcome you with pup treats, there's popcorn and animal food everywhere to eat as you peruse the aisles, and everyone's so nice and wants to give pets ❤️”

“Needed some repairs/adjustments on some older commercial steel doors and Jeff was professional, patient, and took the time to ensure the service was done properly. He wasn't in a rush to get to the next job and did a great job with the doors.”

“Friendly, helpful, went out of their way to help me with building my deck. They gladly ordered parts that were not in stock. Was able to return special ordered parts I didn't need with absolutely no hassles. Is a pleasure to buy from them.”

“My fiance is a contractor, so he frequently visits Menards and I tend to tag along. No matter what, I always end up finding a deal on something I can't pass up. They have the BEST light fixture selection of all the home improvement stores, and great prices on cleaning products and candy. The 11% rebate on all purchases is just an added bonus.”

“Reading thru the other ratings, it is hilarious how many people can just complain so freely, it just comes so natural. Lowes has everything, and if they are outta stock because of a sale then maybe just maybe someone read about or heard about the sale before you. Come me on, yet these same folks will return again, over and over and over.”

“For a long time, Lowes was a hassle. Over the past year or so, they've changed remarkably. More staff, better inventory, more selection of things that I need as a homeowner and gardener. Where it was gruesome, people are helpful, there's enough staff, their prices are average to insane-- which is normal these days. I don't mind going there. Kliendorfer's is still the best for hardware-- unbeatable. But for a lot of items in the home improvement and gardening areas, Lowes has become useful. I do not go to Menards. No way. Too much shoddy products in the lumber yard.”
