“Woodie's is a town staple in Bremen. The front of the store features a small deli that features a number of delicious, fresh-cooked foods, including their signature Alaskan Pollock fish, fried and seasoned to perfection. People come from around Michiana to enjoy the Pollock so there is sometimes a 5-10 minute wait as the next batch is cooked fresh. The deli also features a very small dining area, of only about three tables. Most customers get their food to-go, and will either take it home, or even eat it in the parking lot.The potato wedges are excellent and cooked until the outer breading has the slightest crunch, still leaving the inner potato moist and soft. While I have not tried it myself, I have also heard their fried chicken is very good as well. The supermarket area of the store is also well kept and clean, featuring all the typical foods and snacks you hope to find in a small, locally owned grocery store. Prices are fair and competitive as well.”
“The store in Bremen needs to get rid of their background check and long & unnecessary hiring process because they obviously need help bad! Anytime u go in there you have to wait in a 20 minute line because they only have like 3 employees! And those employees are tired and overworked & usually not very friendly because of it! I feel bad for them. Get rid of your tedious and completely unnecessary hiring process, its ridiculous!!”
“This is a nice place to visit with family or friends. Theirs a nice restaurant across the street and some other small stores to browse. Rentown Country Store has wonderful fresh baked bread in lots of varieties so a favorite for everyone. I love every one I've purchased but I can't get enough of the homemade everything bread...yummy! I've been picking up about 5/6 different cheeses every time I go so my family can try them. I can't say enough about this store. I just wish it was about 3x's as big.”
