“I needed to pick up a large piece of furniture I couldn't haul in my personal vehicle. Give the unpredictable Indiana weather, I thought it best to rent a van vs a truck. Enter U-Haul...$19.95/day plus mileage seemed reasonable enough. I conveniently booked it a few days in advance online. I could have picked it up using my smartphone, but I ended up there during the hours of operation so it was just as easy. This office is located behind Jacquie's Cafe. You are required to provide your driver's license, an alternate contact w/phone number, and a major credit card. A hold for the estimated amount is placed until you return the vehicle, and at that time you are charged. The kind gentleman at the desk was very helpful, yet organized and it took maybe 15 mins. for the whole process. He also explained since I was driving more than 100 miles that I received a discount on additional mileage ($0.79/mile up to 100, then the rate dropped to $0.29/mile). Cool, off I went. I'm no professional at driving a van but this one maneuvered pretty easily. I did find a bit of a learning curve using the mirrors, as in the back there were only two smallish windows on the passenger side. Once I got down the road a few miles I felt very comfortable. The van itself had a rubberized mat floor, which seemed durable and easy to clean. It also had 4 rings on the floor in the back which I used to anchor the item I was transporting with bungee cords. It worked great! Overall the van got better mileage than I expected and took regular gas. You are required to return the vehicle with the same amount of gas as when you left. The kind fella originally explained there is a guide on my contract which correlated the gas gauge level with how many gallons of fuel I would need to add. How cool, and easy! I fueled up, dropped off the van and key at the desk...no other paperwork necessary, I received a report of the final cost via email. Highly recommend this location! Note: they also offer self storage units here as well.”

“CARMEL WELDING - U HAUL DID AN EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL JOB ON FIXING RUST IN THE FRONT END OF MY 2006 TOYOTA TUNDRA ON JANUARY 3, 2022> >THEY ALSO SAW DEFECTIVE SWAY BAR LINKS AND FIXED THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE SWAY BAR LINKS AS WELL. ALSO THEY WORKED ON MY 2004 TACOMA MANY YEARS AGO AND ON THAT REPAIR SAVED MY ROTTED OUT FRAME FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS BEFORE IT FINALLY WENT OUT AND COULD BUY ANOTHER TRUCK. KEVIN IS AN EXCELLENT WELDER!!! I WAS SENT TO CARMEL WELDING FROM O'BRIEN TOYOTA INDIANAPOLIS SERVICE DEPT MANY YEARS AGO!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR FRAME DAMAGE REPAIR!! AFTER THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED THEY REPLACED THE ZIEBART COATING AS WELL ! AAAAA+++++ EXCELLENT WORK AND FAIR PRICE !!!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARMEL U HAUL WEDLING!! THE SWAY BAR LINKS WORE OUT FROM 4 WHEELING AROUND TOWN.”
