12419 Cedar Lake Rd, Crown PointDr. Carrie is Amazing! She helped diagnose my dog years ago with diabetes. Also, she made the Rainbow Bridge crossing as painless as possible. Recently, my father had been going to another area vet. He took his dog there for 3 weeks. During that time, the Dr. kept prescribing antibiotics. Finally, my dad took his dog to Dr. Carrie. She got him in right away and started doing lab work and x-rays. My dad knew his dog wasn't eating and losing weight, but didn't realize that he had lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. The other Dr never mentioned the weight loss to my dad. Dr. Carrie was able to quickly diagnose the dog with Addison's disease and get him the medicine that he needed to start feeling better. My dad thought his dog was nearing the end of his life, and now his dog is improving daily! We can't thank Dr. Carrie enough for her dedication and outstanding vet care!

4720 W 109th Ave, Crown PointI've been taking my dogs to Smith Animal for the past year. Thankfully we haven't had any emergencies so it's been mainly preventative care and ear infections. The staff has always been great and Dr. Smith is always the Dr. we see. They have appointments that fill up pretty fast but I think they reserve some time for emergencies. How do I know this....because I had to make a really tough decision about my 18 year old cats on a Friday before a holiday weekend. I had originally planned to use from Home to Heaven but was unhappy with the communication. So on Friday morning I called Smith Animal and explained the situation. They said they had an emergency appointment they could fit me into. I arrived early...crying in my car while holding one of my cats. The staff came out to get me. Everyone was so compassionate as I bailed my eyes out in the room. The price was also over less than half the cost of the service I originally planned to use. Fast forward to today, a week later and the office sent me a handwritten condolences card.

Our previous vet was rude and dismissive, so I tried crossroads and I’ve been there twice with him so far. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff were so incredibly patient and kind. I’ve seen both Dr. A and Dr. Tyler and both of them were just fantastic. The vet tech staff were wonderful as well. I’m just so impressed with the compassionate care we received. I find the pricing to be fair as well.

To start we had the chips and salsa, avocado fries and two kinds of empanadas. Everything so was delicious and I'm dreaming about going back there just for the apps! For mains we got tamales, 2 orders of steak tacos, rice and of course, more tacos! I can't wait to go back!

211 S East St #4058, Crown PointA surprising find along our traveling back to Milwaukee. That's what I adore about breweries and brewpubs more than almost anything else (the beer). You never know where they may pop up. Especially those intimate/cozy, tucked away spots. In located in an unexpected smaller town. The actual inside of the brewery was intimate with some seating at the bar and a few tables behind the bar. Excellent service with an attentive and knowledgeable bartender. Such a great view of their brewery system on display from this seating. Outside, there was a nice amount of space to sit, hangout, bring is pups(s), and have that community feel. A cool, fun place to swing by!
