“Blue Jacket is simply amazing! My husband shopped at Renew today and found amazing decor for our house. Not only did he have a wonderful experience, he also found great treasures that we already have on display (less than an hour after he finished shopping), and we know the money he spent is going directly back to serving people in our community! We are PROUD to support this amazing local organization and ALWAYS happy with the experiences we have at ALL of their social enterprises!”

You never quite know what they are gonna have in stock. The furniture selection is always really good, and there's decent turn over every couple of weeks.”

“So impressed with this place!! I walked in and the clothes were color coordinated, sizes actually in the correct spots, and the clothes were in great condition. The shoe section had a good selection and so many were cute. The dressing rooms were clean and a nice size. They also have jewelry, home decor, and kids items. The prices are also very fair. The staff was kind and helpful. It’s such a wonderful little spot if you enjoy thrifting!”

“This is one of my favorite thrift stores on this side of town. I come in usually once a week to fill every bare space of my walls at home. Some items could stand to be lower prices (I continue to find dollar store items or small plastic items marked up to $1.99), but the friendliness of the employees and cleanliness/organization makes up for it. You are also helping the community directly when you shop, which I always like to see. Another piece of feedback is I would love to see a loyalty program introduced (points, punchcard, etc.) Thanks for helping me maximize my decor!”

“Stayed here for about a month in December 2023. Terrific people from the two captains who ran this place on down. Unfortunately, I don't remember many of their names. Shoutout to Dr. Katrina Pace, an outstanding woman with a strong faith. Was so blessed to able to stay here.”

“For SEMI TRUCK drivers who make delivery: turn from Jefferson Blvd to Ewing St, stop on the street with flashers on. Go to the warehouse. Two guys will assist you to back between two buildings. Don't hurry and you will make backing to the dock )

God bless.”

“This goodwill is the best I’ve been to. The clothes are so stylish and many of them still have the tags on them. It’s clean. The dressing rooms are spacious. Go.”

“I LOVE both donating and shopping at the FW Restore. I have an empty box in my garage and every time I am finished with something that could be sold there I put it in the box and when it’s full I drive right up under the convenient canopy and someone comes out to get my donation, regardless of the weather. I regularly shop at the store also and have found some of the most useful and unusual things there. My church does an annual fish and tenderloin fry and 100% of the proceeds goes to Habitat for Humanity. Such a good cause and an amazing organization”

“Probably one of the best thrift stores in town. Very well organized so if you're looking for a specific color of shirt you can look by that and sizes. Rose and rows of clothes. Very clean well taken care of store. The clothes were all a really good value. But not a lot of furniture at this location like the one on the south side”

“My favorite goodwill in fort wayne. Best stuff in there, best staff, best clearance for clothes and shoes. I love the dvd and vhs section and the blind bags are so cool. I never leave there without getting a blind bag now and they are only $5!”

“Excellent selection on name brand clothes. unlike the Goodwill, you know that your money is going towards men who have a second chance at life after struggling with addiction.”

“I’m really glad I stopped back into The Salvation Army Family Store.

I’ve been coming here for around 16 years and have donated here many times over the years. It has always been one of those places that feels useful, familiar, and connected to a bigger purpose.

After talking with someone there, I learned that proceeds from the store help support the men’s rehabilitation center downtown, helping men dealing with addiction. That makes shopping and donating here feel even more meaningful.

Inside, there is a lot to browse — clothing, items for kids, furniture, household goods, wall décor, and plenty of things that can help someone make a home feel a little more welcoming. I especially liked the wall of framed décor and uplifting pieces. There are some simple things in there that could really brighten up a room or lift someone’s mood.

The donation center is easy to find, and it is good to know donations are going toward something that helps people in a real way.

This place deserves attention. It is more than a thrift store. It is a place where donations, shopping, and community support all connect. I’m thankful we have it here.”

“CHEERS!!! to the Goodwill on Lima Road, my experience was more than a lovely one. I was there looking for some inspiration for my new bedroom. That day the Thrift God's was there blessing me...? I found a Ralph Lauren floral bed set, and two more bed sets. They all were in prestine condition! The employees let me take up an whole back area to stretch out my bed sets (looking for holes or missing peices), which I found nothing that couldn't be fixed. Then I had to figure out how I was going to go to Burlington to shop for granbabies school clothes. The manager let me leave my 4 big bags there until I finished shopping at Burlington. The young man that served me at the check out, was so delightful and concerned about my well-being. Especially after I shared that I have MS and it would be in possible for me to carry all my beautiful finds around Burlington. When I came back before they closed, he called out my name when I opened the door, (with concern) to inform me that he was starting to worry, if I was going to make it back in time before they closed! GOODWILL, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH YOU MADE MY DAY! SO ONCE AGAIN CHEERS TO YOU FOR SUCH A LOVELY AND MUCH NEEDED EXPERIENCE ? ?....”

“I saw a review on here saying that Belinda, one of the managers, was racist. I’m actually her daughter — I’m adopted and half Black — so maybe let’s not be so quick to judge or assume things about someone’s character.

At the end of the day, we’re all human, and working in retail can be exhausting and stressful. People have hard days too. That doesn’t automatically make them hateful. A little more grace, compassion, and understanding will go a long way.”

“Very friendly , clean, great selection (my daughter loves going there), and overall wished they were closer. On a side note, the cashier told me about a program they started working with those with disabilities to go into the work force. Monday, I will be calling to find out more information! Thank you for making this community better!”
