“The workers who installed our new storm door were great. Friendly, knew what they were doing. Gave me instructions on how to get the sliding window to function. Home Depot did initially deliver an incorrectly sized door and an incorrect handle. However, the installation guys immediately returned to Home Depot and got the correct items and installed them in less than an hour. I'm really happy with the process. Their installation services are reasonably priced and have already saved me twice from having to find a contractor or handyman to do the work.”

“I would like to give a HUGE compliment to Ashley in customer service at the Lowe’s in Merrillville, IN!!! She is truly an amazing employee! I had purchased and paid for a generator online for curbside pickup. When I arrived at the store, Ashley let me know that the item hadn’t been picked in the store yet and the generator sold and was no longer available. To say I was disappointed was an understatement. After canceling the order I left and was calling around to find another generator and wasn’t having any luck. After about 10 minutes, Ashley called me and let me know that someone else had cancelled their order for the same one and wanted to know if I wanted it!!!! Needless to say, I said yes and hurried back to the store! She had it there waiting for me! Now that’s customer service!!!! Not all heroes wear capes and Ashley is definitely a hero!!! Our area has been hit hard with the storms and power outages and every employee I had interaction with was so kind and friendly! You should be very proud of the employees at your Merrillville, IN Store!”
“Just picked up a generator from here and it’s pretty heavy. Luckily Tyres, the carry out was very helpful getting this unit into my vehicle. He was working the whole parking lot and upfront to load generators. Very nice young man with a great attitude, Home Depot is lucky to have him out there representing the company. I think he’s earned a promotion to a department after handling these generators and power outage chaos the way he has.”
“Ben, a manager, took care of me tonight. I came to the store from a far distance to buy several rolls of insulation that I saw displayed on their website for 18.97. When I arrived we couldn’t find the same item because this location didn’t carry it. I was quite a bit annoyed because I screenshot the item and it was $4.50 less than the other. Ben immediately assured me he would make the price adjustment on each item. He loaded up the big cart and packed the items in my car. I was amazed at his diligence, kindness, customer service and genuine natural ability to lead. It’s people like Ben who remind you of how a customer should be valued. That’s exactly how Ben treated me, like my business with Lowes mattered. He did everything right. Even when I was driving away I saw him picking up plastic that someone let get away in the parking lot. He is a gem and an honorable man. I value him.”
