“This was a quick visit to grab a few things on my way home. They weren't really busy which was nice, some isles were difficult to get through due to all of the boxes of stock not yet put away...to be fair though I understand they have a lot of responsibilities to deal with in between customers. Employee was no where in sight until I was at the registers. She was pleasant and rangMe up quickly. A few of the items I frequently purchase we're out of stock, but that's not just this location. I pretty much feel like it's normal these days. The store was clean and organized as far as the items already stocked. Of course we will return for future visits.”

“Unexpectedly, both my washer and dryer died after 11 years—and of course, it happened on a Sunday! I asked ChatGPT where the best place was to find replacements, and it pointed me to Miller’s. I ended up purchasing a scratch-and-dent washer and dryer. So far, the washer is doing great. I did ask the salesman several questions because they had a few different options, but unfortunately, his answers were pretty vague. I was told the issue with the dryer was that the drum had been rubbing and that the company had repaired it. The washer came with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty, but the repaired dryer only came with a 30-day warranty. That does make me a little nervous. If the only problem was the drum rubbing and it was properly repaired, I would feel much more comfortable if the warranty were longer than 30 days. I’ve now used both machines. The washer is working great, but the dryer is very loud, which concerns me considering its previous drum issue. I have 30 days of warranty coverage on the dryer, so I’ll definitely be paying close attention to it. I’ll update this review at the end of the 30 days and let you know how everything holds up!”

“This one is the closest to my home, but it's like 10 miles away. It sinks in there, and it looks like the employees don't really put stuff where they're supposed to go. You always find like a couley packet with the meat. For some reason, the produce is pretty good. The carts suck suck bad, but it's a good place to go. “Love this store. Since I live close by I am in this store almost once a day sometimes more than once, all the workers recognize me. They say hello to every customer that walks through the door. Store is well kept, organized, clean, and well stocked. All the workers are friendly and helpful. “I did love it however the new manager that took over a few months ago does not know how to keep up a store or help you find anything place is a disaster all the time cards full of boxes that need to be put away on the Shelf trash on the floor dangerous for people to go into and you never can find what you need is not due to covid-19 it's due to not taking my time and putting it away on the Shelf I've heard different conversations through workers about the store some have to be up at the register and the same ones have to be putting it on the Shelf but nine times out of 10 they're in the breakroom just sitting down a lot of times they hoard stuff in piles that they're going to buy it and tell you that it's not for sale and then you watch them purchase it also seemed people going out to the dumpster if I pass by certain times of the night that our workers that put items in the trash pull them out and take them home and my car we used to love to shop there what's the time we will go to the other one down the road from the store they're much nicer and so is the store when we only live one minute away from this location it's a disaster the rest of your stores are courteous kind and clean thank you for serving the community”
Burlington Stores is giving its locations a major makeover. The off-price retailer has already transformed about half of its 1,115 stores and plans to complete the redesign across its entire fleet by the end of 2026. The company calls this makeover "Store Experience 2.0." Gone are the cramped aisles and confusing layouts that once defined discount shopping. Instead, Burlington is creating wider walkways, organized sections, and clearer signs to help shoppers find what they need.
Dollar General is adding more of its private label food offerings to stores, following similar moves by big retailers like Walmart and Amazon as store brands keep growing in popularity. The store is launching new items under its own labels, including ice cream, cinnamon rolls, coffee syrups, and salad dressings. The move comes as store brand sales reached $271 billion in 2024, up nearly 4% from 2023.
Daiso, the beloved Japanese retailer known for its variety of affordable household goods, is expanding further in the U.S. market. This week, the company is celebrating the grand openings of three new stores in Texas and California. On Saturday, Aug. 10, Daiso debuted an 8,000-sq.-ft. location in Beaumont, Texas, at Dowlen Towne Center, as well as two Southern California stores - a 6,319-sq.-ft. space in Van Nuys at Mid Valley Marketplace and a 5,200-sq.-ft. store in Westminster at Westminster Center.
Dollar Tree is moving into 170 former 99 Cents Only stores, marking a big shift in the discount retail landscape. The company announced Wednesday it's taking over leases in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, with plans to reopen the stores under its own brand as early as fall 2024.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet just landed a great deal of its own, winning a $14.6 million bankruptcy auction for 11 former 99 Cents Only store locations across Texas. The discount retail chain pounced after 99 Cents Only abruptly went out of business in March, shuttering all 371 of its stores in California, Arizona, Texas, and Nevada. Ollie's quickly made an opening "stalking horse bid" to grab over a dozen of the empty properties.
