Fountain Square Theatre is a historic 1927 venue located in the vibrant Fountain Square area of Indianapolis. Its vintage charm and trendy, hip atmosphere make it a popular spot for various events. The theatre is well-loved for its unique and charming aesthetic, offering a versatile space that can be transformed into an elegant setting or embraced for its lively, fun-loving vibe. It is considered a perfect backdrop for weddings and special celebrations, with many describing it as a treasure trove of charm and potential. The theatre is also used for memorial services, where visitors have experienced a warm and caring staff, especially Priscilla, who goes above and beyond to create a beautiful, comforting space on short notice. The atmosphere is enhanced with candles, contributing to a cozy and heartfelt environment, ideal for mourning and remembrance. While the venue is praised for its historical beauty and excellent food, it does have some practical limitations. There is no dedicated parking area, requiring visitors to find street parking, which can be limited, especially near the theatre. Additionally, the acoustics are not the best for speeches, and the space lacks a lobby, which might make large gatherings or performances less ideal. Restrooms are limited, with only two on the main level and additional ones upstairs in the balcony. Overall, Fountain Square Theatre combines rich history, charm, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a delightful venue for a variety of events despite some logistical challenges.
Great venue for fun and dance. We went to the Friday, swing dance class and social dance afterwards. Great fun

My friends and I loved going to swing dance night at the theater! There was a lesson followed by open dancing with a live jazz orchestra. There was enough seating on the sides and in the balcony to take a break from dancing when needed.
