“The woman who handled my transaction was very patient and gave me a detailed explanation of what precautions are taken to ensure that the vast majority of the menu is safe for me (I have Celiac, a nasty gluten allergy, but the food was prepared very well). I ordered a half-pound of three different sausage varieties to get a diverse sample, and found the prices to be completely reasonable at face value. I found the price to be even more appealing when I got home and tried the Italian Sausage- for a similar price to supermarket sausage, you get a product that tastes ten times better! I am going to Claus' every time I want sausage from now on!”

“There is a Mexican restaurant in the back of the store that has good food! The store is a little run down (they have pans on the floor to catch water when it rains) but I’ve never had any issues. I don’t speak Spanish but some of the customers/cashiers are bilingual so they help me translate or I use the app on my phone.”

“I discovered the Smoking Goose online and had to come and check it out. It didn't disappoint! The public smokehouse is located in a quaint neighborhood, across from a tiny dog park and a stone's throw away from Mass Ave. district.The staff is quite knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. The Cotto Salame and Stagberry Salame I purchased were delicious! Still have to open the Smoked Kitchen Sink Sausage and Pho Summer Sausage. You can find other non-meat items: local ceramic items. They offer a variety of cheeses and a "wall" of fish tins, too. If I'd have more room in my suitcase, I would have had a ton of tins! What a pleasant shopping experience! I will definitely come back and spend more time and try more items on my next visit.I suggest offering local cheeses to your selection (for visitors like me looking for local items).”
