“Cashiers are excellent, friendly and extremely hard working. Upper management should be forced to work in stores alone as employees do. Treat your employees better, maybe they wouldn't call off.”
“An absolute gem in my tiny town. The best, most friendly employees. The meat and poultry is always so good (steaks, chicken, the ribs yumm and the bbq chops ugh my ❤️) Can't leave without some brats, strawberry cheesecake delight and sausage sticks. Nice selection of frozen seafood and already made there dinners and sides. Also phenomenal when you realize you are missing something that you need from the grocery store and it's there saving you a trip!!”
“Can no longer get the flavors of soup we like. They are carrying more namebrand, like Campbells, but also triple the price. We like Kelseys, which is SAL brand but cannot find the ones we eat. Employees are very nice and hard workers. The store is often out of alot of things. Its hit or miss when it comes to what you want and what the manager has ordered and what's in stock. Good to go there on Saturday mornings. I think their big delivery is Friday and better stocked on Saturday.
I just wish they'd bring back the discontinued soups, etc.”
“I never thought I would leave a review for a DG. This one is one of the best I have ever been to, they have fresh produce and a lot of quick grocery options. Store is always organized unlike other ones I have been too, and everything is easy to find. Staff is always friendly love this location!”
“Had a good experience here tonight. Went for balloons with helium and they were very helpful. Cashier was very helpful. Young man with TCU Hoodie. Was able to help with balloons and snacks at checkout. First time I've enjoyed a dollar general in years.Cashier was working until 4pm onNovember 7th. Just wanted to say how helpful both employees were.”
“Went to the new salon in the Valparaiso Walmart for the Henna work they offer before we go on vacation. Me, my sister and my 8 year old got it done and it was a great experience. I had my 6 year old wild boy and my 10 month old baby boy. They Wer understanding and helpful. I totally recommend this service. My little girl wanted hers off asap! So within 2 hours or less she dry wiped hers off and it is still left on her hand. We are on day 4 and she’s gone in the bath everyday and the pool and it’s still goin strong on her and me and my sister!

“Most staff is friendly. Store is always very clean. Fresh selection of meat.Getting blasted with constant LOUD Christian music, however, is distracting at best, hellaanoying at the worst, and a legit deterrent to shopping here. :/And yes, I am a Christian.”
