I've had the same account for 15+ years and it was a completely seamless transition into this new account type. “We first started with HomeBank 3 or 4 years ago with just a small checking account just to “test the waters”. From day one they have been incredibly welcoming and helpful. They do the little things. They remember our name when we go in. They greet you with a smile. They keep the transactions as quick as possible. They have clean facilities. They have competent employees. This list goes on and on with just the small things that add up to become a great experience. Since that first checking account and the experience we had, we trusted the bank with our car loan, our home loan, and most recently our home refinance loan. All of our experiences have been better and easier than expected. Recently we finished our refinance of the house and their representative was not able to be at the closing due to COVID restrictions. They sent us a small gift with a note indicating there desire to have been there to complete the process and answer any final questions. This small token of recognition sums up my point about doing the little things right. I realize that a lot of banks do similar things like this when doing business with them but when coupled with all of my experiences mentioned above and more, it makes for a good banking experience. I went in furious and clouded by my emotions after my wire transfer was canceled by the fraud department!
