“I absolutely recommend checking out the chesterton Aldis, not only is the food more affordable but the employees are always on the ball for how stretched thin they are. Today I watched a young lady full of piercings not only run a register, clean up a broken glass and answer a customer's question she did it while smiling and having a very up beat attitude. Aldis I truly hope you recognize the great workers you have.”
“I thought this place had knockoff products but it doesn't. It's actually a nice store with great prices too! I was surprised by how much product they have.”
“I shop at the market about twice a month, usually picking up tamales or marinated chicken or steak fajita mix. The fajita mixes are delicious, full of flavor and tender. My family loves the Mexican rice and the veggie mix as well. The employees are very friendly and helpful. There is a great variety of produce items as well as well as canned items and spices. I have never been disappointed with my purchases.”

“I went to the dermatologist on Tuesday and he prescribed an ointment. I use good RX, so I had to research the location of the pharmacy with the lowest price. I dropped off my prescription the following day. The clerk told me it would be delayed an additional day because I was using good RX. I did not understand that. I felt as if I was being punished because I didn’t have Insurance to pay full price for a prescription. The following day, a text message was sent to my housemate and not to me that my prescription was ready. He did not inform me until after the pharmacy was closed last night. I inquired about that today after arriving to pick up my prescription and was told it must have been from a past prescription. Hmm…? The pharmacist said that there must’ve been a miscommunication when I was told there would be a delay because the only delay would be because they did not have the prescription in stock. It’s a common prescription for basal cell cancer. This is a topical application that has strict timeline attached to it. I had to schedule my return check up for exactly 2 weeks, and I will not have had that prescription product on my skin for two weeks when I arrive at that appointment. Oh well.
The pharmacist was extremely nice, helpful, efficient, and very informative about the proper use of this ointment.”

“I stopped for gas at the Meijer gas station. Was getting scratch tickets for my Mom. The cashier, I can’t remember her name, but it ended in “ola”. She was so very patient, and kept saying no problem, no worries, and she took time to make sure you were taken care of. If you know gas stations, people are just in a hurry, rude, and very impatient!!! This was not my experience. She definitely displayed that A1 service, so stop by and tell her so!!”
“Way better stocked than michigan city, more cashiers working, but less friendly than most other places around. Fruit and veggies are hit or miss, as is the meat section. The rewards points and coupons don't seem to matter these days due to prices, but I definitely try to clip as many as humanly possible before shopping.”
“Wonderful, fresh produce and fruit. Went on Labor Day (had no choice, crowded but moved fast). Artisan breads, knob onions and large bulk red radishes that I’ve never seen elsewhere. I shop in Valpo, but will make it a point to shop here more. There’s room for a Jewels in Valpo by the Starbucks on Calumet. . Would be nice to open a store there. It would be busy for a lot of customers on the N side of town. Thanks??”

“This little store has lots of stuff. Cold drinks and snacks. Firewood, camping foods, canned goods and coffee. Sun hats, sun shirts, swimwear, boogie boards and touristy shirts. Postcards and good stickers! Also. great people work in here.”
“Great place to stop in and pick up items such as paper towels, toilet paper etc. at great prices. They have lots of other items as well. A good place to make a quick stop for snacks, too.”
“Jannsen’s is a staple of the community for several reasons. First and foremost, upon arriving in Beverly Shores, either by train or auto, it is what one sees immediately prior to entering the town. As such, people often stop by for some hiking, bird watching, beaching, soft serve (weather permitting), or other supplies of that nature.The Dunes Mart is always aptly stocked and staffed by genuinely nice, yet thoroughly professional, people and I cannot recall a single unpleasant experience while shopping here in well over a decade. Although it would appear Jannsen’s keeps one of nearly everything on their shelves, except for blue pens ?. Other than that this Mart is excellent.And last, but in all honesty the most significant, starting the day with a cup of Sandra C’s regular blend - and one of Henze’s Bakery’s finest - is quite hard to top. Whether you’re from the area, or just passing through, I’d suggest recharging at the Dunes Mart.”

“I've never been to this kind of store in my life but I wanted to give it a chance. Overall it's a great store! They had local people advertising local services when you first enter the store. It features a great variety of fresh and organic products at reasonable prices. Staff here was friendly and courteous. Bathrooms are really clean as well! Great parking too. Alcohol is a bit limited too. Overall, definitely reccomend this place.”

“One of the cleanest most well organized I've been in ever, makes the one where I live look like a garage sale. Such friendly staff and everything is labeled and displayed nicely. Clean outside as well! Wonderful! Will be the only one we use when in the area.”
“This Town & Country is right next to the busy bee. Laundromat, that is the only reason I go into this grocery store. Everything is super sprawled out. Things that you would think are in certain departments, but aren't.
You also have to watch expiration dates, more than once I accidentally bought expired food. They did not take it back.
T&c has an okay deli and fish market (which sometimes stinks). They have THE BEST soda selection I've ever seen in a grocery store. All in all, it's not a shining example of "clean." I can not speak for the staff.I've never dealt with them. I always use self check out. That's

“Went here last week and the store is super clean and organized. Found exactly what I wanted. The manager is super nice and very courteous. She is doing a spectacular job keeping the place up and running smoothly. The lady cashier was very nice and helpful. I will be going here from now on.”

They did great handling the situation, once it was my turn I let the cashier know I may not have enough and the cashier named Trevor paid for my pop. Which was extremely nice of him. “To get the pros out of the way, this store is extremely well organized and clean. The location is mundane which means it’s usually not packed and provides a nice shopping experience. Now for the one con i’ve experienced, the workers were negligent to a couple customers at the register. He/she was already aware that the bell was rung and was stocking items despite the buildup of the line.”

“I love this Dollar General! The staff are super nice and very helpful. Although, they need more help. The store is usually a mess but it's understandable because there isn't enough people working to put stock away. I always feel like helping them out, stocking shelves and cleaning up. But, all in all, it's a great place filled with many items I can't find elsewhere at Dollar General's. They have a section of organic/natural items that no other Dollar General carries. This is my favorite section! Please, management provide this awesome store with more staff! This can be a spectacular store and a must destination for all shoppers to find those hard-to-find items. The house ware section is a dream! Plus, they are bringing in more knick-knacks to decorate your home with, cool stuff! Go check it out!”
