“Great store. They have a large variety of items to choose from. I specifically come here for udon noodles and different sauces and pastes. If you’re spending less than $15 (I believe) be sure to bring cash, as they have a minimum you need to spend in order to use your card. Understandable. Worth the stop to check out their stuff. You never know what you might find.”

“Always a friendly smile from the employees. I originally went to Kroger's a block away. The cans of chili I wanted was 3 x the price it was 3 days ago.I was in shock. So I went to save a lot and got higher quality chips and chili for 1/3 the cost. I know inflation is out of hand but so are some merchants. Thank you sav a lot. For being fair and not ripping people off. :-)”

“Freshest produce. From sushi to in house bakery. This grocery establishment has outdoor gas, Redbox rentals, an ATM and a pharmacy on sight. Fresh floral are beautiful. Endless fresh deli choices from quinoa to bread pudding. Meat deli is Boars. For meat showcase the store offers number in store marinated and pre-stuffed chicken, beef, and specialty cuts meat. Seafood choices are available.A thoughtful owner of our community has the awesome big salad bar , also a soup bar of choices, and daily hot breakfast & afternoon/dinner hot bar changes menu daily. Thoughtful by packaging hot bar items of evening prior into cold storage boxes making those available to SNAP customers to purchase.Allowing for delicious ? for all.Staff consistently polite and hands on helpful. Never met not 1 employed there not appear happy with their job.This a grocery store layout yet covers majority of your needs.Always spotless.Believe the biggest draw for myself is how the store with so many departments, quite unique, is this establishment is owned by a very well thought-out person.Mr. Bob Beasler has put a very nice establishment at a midpoint in the city of Terre Haute close to the good roads at Poplar Street and block east of 25th St.My favorite of my visits here is it screams... COMMUNITY does remain here.It is easy to see it is for any and all of us. Delicious! ??”

“I live on the North end of town but travel out of my way to shop at the Dollar General store located on S. 25th and College Av. The isles are not blocked with racks of stacked incoming merchandise like a lot of the other Dollar General stores are. The store is kept clean and the shelves are orderly. Most of the folks that work there are friendly. However, I must mention a young man named David that has worked there for some time now. He is always cheerful and helpful. He offers to help me with heavy items such as bottled water or cat litter and will reach a higher up item for me if he is not busy checking out customers. Several times he has offered to load my purchases in my car for me. I am a disabled senior and his kind gesture helps me a lot and it makes my day. A true gentleman! Keep up the good work DG employees and know you are appreciated!”

“From the time you first walk into the grocery store you are greeted with pleasantries. The staff as well as the owners are always available willing to lend a hand to every customer that walks through their door. The meat is top quality and there is a wide selection of quality items you won't find in any other store. The salad bar is the best you will find around in my honest opinion. The owners are always willing to help and promote smaller businesses flourish within their store. There are staff on hand that will walk the elderly to their car and put their groceries in the vehicle. You get a great sense of gratitude for your business at this specific grocery store as if your some form of distant family. There honestly isn't one bad thing you could say about baeslers market. Other grocery stores say they strive to have the best customer service while baeslers actually provides the best customer service hands down.”
“This Dollar General is very clean and organized. Most of the employees are helpful and courteous and seem fairly knowledgeable in each department of the store which is quite rare in chain stores with a high employee turn-over rate. The upper management could afford to polish up on those social skills a bit though.”

I know the chain gets a lot of bad publicity, but I think it has more to do with some of its customers and less with the stores.
I **will** say that I am not a big fan of the recent change within the store. Someone at the corporate level decided to make MAJOR changes to nearly the ENTIRE store layout! Those of us who have shoped at Walmart for decades can't find anything!
Only some changes made sense, the main one being the moving of pet food closer to the groceries. The mall-like marketing displays are well done but not necessary. I guess since malls have lost some if their stores, Walmart executives thought they'd try that type of decor. It would be interesting to see if any of those displays result in more sales.”

But, Corporate needs to Staff accordingly, there is no reason for a Chain store of that size to be so understaffed on Delivery days. Not to mention we were held up in an Armed Robbery and gun drawn pointed at cashiers and customers , myself included and not one Corp.,Reg.or District Rep. “Store is usually stocked and cleaned and prices are reasonable. Our latest interaction with the cashier was a little awkward, though. We greeted her and she ignored us, opting to gossip on her walkie talkie instead.
I’d brush it off if she was that way with the other customers, but she was laughing and joking with them. A bad night, maybe?”
