“Went to Gils for a second opinion on one of my service trucks. Another company told me it would be almost 10 thousand dollars to do the repairs. I thought it was really high but didn’t know. Not only did Gils do the work for extremely less price, they did it in 1 day and checked on the diagnostic work the moment I pulled in. I will not go anywhere else but Gils for now on for sure. Absolutely the best auto repair shop in the area.”

“Matt is always polite and straight forward. Explains what needs fixed and how it was effecting the car/what I heard/saw to bring it in. Most importantly, fixes the problem. (The dealership 'fixed' the same problem more than once and never actually fixed the problem). I tried MTI when discount tires referred me to them for alignment after buying tires. Had them look for that problem while there and they actually found the problem and fixed it. I've gone back quite a few times now. Cheaper than dealerships that's for sure, and have always fixed the problem. They also check up with you a couple days later to make sure it's all good. They get you in pretty quickly for an appointment as well. All in all I recommend.”

“My car was crazy loud, the floor shook, and it was embarrassing/sketched me out a bit to drive.. Turns out my flex pipe was messed up. They got us in quick. We showed up at 9 and the car was done by 9:30. They were super nice to my husband, honest, and did great work. We used to drive all the way to Broadway and Merrillville for muffler issues, but came across these guys and we are happy we did. Definitely going to suggest them to others and bring our cars for any future issues from now on. My car is nice and quiet now and drives smooth. Good honest people and good work.”

“I didn’t get into an accident, just “Chicago” wear and tear, letting the girlfriend drive it, etc etc.
Instead of buying a new car (which is what my pathetic, OCD self would do with a car with only 30,000 miles on it) decided to have the few panels and dents get “rebuilt”.
I wung it (not being familiar with with the company) and it was a LOT less expensive than I expected, so I pulled the pin.
Aside from a little hiccup where they forgot to install something (which they obviously made good on) it was all done how I wanted and it looks like a brand new car.
I recommend this place to everyone no matter what amount of damage your vehicle has. It was cheap and the job was done professionally and by true craftsmen. There were no “hidden” costs. The estimate was the price.
I couldn’t be happier. If I need more body work (which I inevitably will at some point) I’m taking it back here.
