“Years ago, I had a custom ring made by a jeweler who has since closed up shop. Through no fault of the original designer, I just didn't like it. I took it in to Hupp on a lark, to see if they had any suggestions for "fixing it". They had excellent, affordable suggestions, did the work, and I now have a gorgeous ring that I absolutely love. I am so impressed!! And happy :-), needless to say. They also made several small repairs to other items, all affordable, and excellent workmanship. They do it all! Very professional and friendly, too.”

“From beginning to end this was a spectacular novel experience! Working with someone that only does custom designed pieces by appointment was initially intimidating until we met with Shaun the first time, then we realized how friendly, warm, and personal it could be. I brought in my wedding ring of 21 years, along with a couple other diamonds I had, without too much of an idea if they could work together in a new piece. He immediately assured me that they would. I love antique cut diamonds, and he was able to find some small accent sized old European cut side stones to keep the aesthetic in line with the three center stones I provided. Over a few appointments, a newly created wedding ring was designed and delivered! It is far and above what I even expected, and my original center stone looks sooo much brighter in the platinum setting. I absolutely love it! My phone pictures can't do it any justice. I don't see myself going anywhere else for jewelry from now on. Thank you so much for the experience, and my new beautiful extra sparkly wedding ring.”

“My Mother gave me the diamond that my Father gave her at their engagement. I had a necklace stick with a diamond in it that my husband gave me. I took that necklace to the Jewel Box and they duplicated it and placed my Mother's diamond in it. I wear both now. One is on a 16" chain and the other is on an 18" chain. It is the most precious piece of jewelry (next to my wedding ring) that I own. I receive compliments all the time on the necklace.Jewel Box was wonderful and they did an excellent job of duplicating the stick. Plus the pricing was so reasonable and it only took 2 weeks.”

“I had concerns and doubts about how the process would go, especially for the amount of items we were taking in. I have to say, they were great, we set up an appointment, which I would suggest, they helped bring in the items, we sat back in a more private room, we were able to talk to Brian while he reviewed the items, he told us what he found and was looking at and in the end, felt like they treated us right. I appreciated their time, information and we were able to handle the sale in one stop vs having to have them take what they wanted, then on to the next for someone else to review and on and on. I was also on the hunt for giftable picture frames and was a little disappointed by the selection but oh well. “Great experience! Came here with my sis to get my 2 nieces' (ages 5 and 7) ears pierced. She chose this spot specifically because they're licensed nurses and know the right way to pierce to minimize any risk of error or infection. Everything was very sterile and sanitized. They also have the option of choosing the needle or the piercing gun.STAFF: One of my nieces was extremely nervous and they were great with her - made sure she felt heard, validated, but also reassured & safe. They communicated each step and didn't get frustrated when she needed a little extra time. They also were very meticulous in making sure the marker dots were right on point for each ear!SHOP: The shop itself is super cute and inviting, with bright modern colors, mirrors, and beautiful clear display cases of allergen free earrings for different ages and styles. It's all very organized with prices clearly displaced, and all earrings for sale are encased and kept sanitary from browsing hands. PRICING: Yes, it's certainly more expensive than a Claire's, but you're also looking at good hypoallergenic materials that won't irritate, an environment you know is sterile, and well-trained staff. If you already have your ears pierced and don't have sensitive skin, may not be necessary for you to just buy earrings here. But definitely would recommend for new piercings or allergic/sensitive ears.You do have to buy the spray to disinfect/care for your piercing in the weeks following it (like you would anywhere) and my sis did say it was a bit pricier than she expected. You might be able to find elsewhere cheaper if you wanted to? But would definitely get it in general.FOLLOW-UP SERVICE: Ideally, you'd never have to return! But my nieces were playing a few days after the piercing and one of their earrings got stuck in the other ones' hair, and it got yanked out. My sister was having trouble getting it back in so she waited and went back to Rowan 2 days later (when we got back in town) and they re-pierced it. She did have to go back in twice bc the first time they were too busy, but the next day they were able to fit her in and re-pierced it free of charge. Thank you!”

“This is such a cute shop! It's well-curated and the owners seemed fun and were engaging with customers. We stopped in right before Christmas and it was busy with shoppers. They carry bohemian brands such as Free People and have both clothes and gifts. The decor and lighting were fun, as well as the displays. “Can I give more than 5 stars please?Marc created a custom design piece for me in 2012 that exceeded expectations. The design was beautiful, and the craftsmanship excellent. I recently had a complementary piece made by Marc and the original assessed for any wear damage and overall checked and polished. I’m sure there are better technical terms for that work.Marc’s work on the additional piece was perfect. The wax mold was 11 years old but tucked away in his safe, the sourced stones were a perfect match to his original piece and the combined jewelry was more perfect than I imagined in his execution. The quality check, repair and polishing of the piece I wear daily made it look brand new.Marc’s design, craftsmanship and service exceed expectations. AND he’s a quality human with high ethics. 5+ stars.”
