It was a great experience and I wish I could rate it even higher than 5 stars because it was excellent! Wish I lived closer to Ames to shop here more often.”

“Mrs Ann was great help , i am an old Marine and i have broken both arms and wrists several times , and i can not turn a cap to open a soda or tea , Mrs Ann was so helpfull at opening my tea for me , that is great customer service and she deserves a raise or at least a lunch meal for going above and helping an injured Marine veteran with disabilities”

“It's a fine Hy Vee. The Wine and Spirits clerks are particularly fun employees to chop it up with. Any time I need help, the folks there are always on the ball. One time some random asshole college student came up to me and tried to recruit me to join his Amway team, but that's mostly just a funny anecdote and has nothing to do with the store. I hope his pyramid scheme fails and he gets punched at an Insane Clown Posse concert.”
“Went here on May 28th to get gas. Paid $3.15 per gallon. Look close at the price on the sign. It's not 3.15 9/10, it's an even 3.15, is that refreshing or what. I paid at the pump and then went inside. This place is nice and has very competitive prices. Staff that work inside are as friendly as anyone could possibly be. This place really is a hidden gem. I highly recommend this place.”
