“Leann and Kim are THE BEST. I have been going to them for almost 20 years. They have always gone above and beyond for me and my pets. I can honestly say they are friends more than our vets. When we lived out of state they would answer any of my questions and we even ended up driving back to have them take care of our pets.”
“Somerset was able to get my cat in for emergency vet services promplty which I appreciate tremendusly. I was very upset about my cat and all the staff members where very kind and empethetic towards me which was reasuring. Dr. Lindgren was also very kind did an excelent job of explaining what was going on. Overall I'll never forget their kindness in my time of need.”
“I can’t say enough about Dr. Brandon Weyhing. He diagnosed our beloved kitty with a terminal condition and was so patient, kind and compassionate through the process of helping her cross the rainbow bridge. He explained everything so we would know what to expect, as this was the first time our family had gone through this. He is patient and gentle and it is obvious how much he truly cares about his patients and their families.”
“We receive excellent boarding and veterinary care every time we visit. They are kind, considerate, competent and treat our dog with love and affection. Thanks for all you do for her!!”
“I have been bringing my horses here for expert care when needed for over a decade, they provide specialized and emergency veterinary care when a smaller practice cannot do so. I love that it is a veterinary college as well so bringing my horses here provides learning opportunities for future veterinarians. I have always experienced compassionate and caring staff at every visit.”
“Our cat has nasal lymphoma, and their team has been working hard to save our little guy. So far, so good! ?Friendly, understanding, and welcoming staff + advanced medical technology is a win!”

“Dr. Ricklefs is a consummate professional and caring veterinarian with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. We bring all our Maine Coons there, most recently 7-month 13.5-pound Thor. He has two sisters, Siggy and Freya, patients of All Pets since birth. Thor's doing marvelously well after neutering and already is hungry, bringing me a midnight snack (stole from cupboard). He was so appreciative he bought Dr. Ricklefs a cake!”
“I took Pepper to Iowa State University Animal Hospital since it was the closest place to Nebraska with family living nearby, rather than driving all the way to Kansas City. When we arrived, they immediately took her back to put her on supplemental oxygen while I completed paperwork. Within about eight minutes, we were taken to our room to discuss options and pricing.
We decided to do an echocardiogram, which cost around $500, since she needed sedation for the exam. At that time, Pepper was doing well and responding to her medications. However, the next day, she suddenly stopped responding to the meds.
The doctors presented three options:
1. Attempt to shock her heart back into a healthy rhythm, even though this involves temporarily stopping the heart.
2. Put her on a ventilator if she stopped breathing, which would have cost around $10–15k.
3. Wait to see if additional medications would work.
After exhausting all medications, I chose to try shocking her heart back into rhythm. The staff were very upfront about the risks, explaining there was a chance she might not come back. They administered general anesthesia so she wouldn’t feel it. Despite four rounds of CPR, there was nothing more they could do.
The staff created a clay paw print as a keepsake for us. While I wish my little baby was still here, it comforts me to know she can breathe and play freely without struggling in heaven. I deeply appreciate everything the ISU staff did for Pepper—the care, love, and attention they gave her.
Pepper had congestive heart failure at just three months old, so her chances of living a long life were unfortunately low. Even so, I don’t regret trying every option. Though it was costly—about $2,500—it was worth every penny to give her the best care possible. Thank you to the ISU team for trying so hard for my baby”
“The entire staff, everyone, welcomes my pups and myself w a wonderful greeting and smiles. Everyone at the Pet Medical Center takes time to comfort the pups w petting and “chats.”
Doctor Sara is thorough and takes extra caring time to answer all questions. The staff has a calming knack for the family pets.
Impressive is they recognize and recommend impending preventative care issues, w/o pressure. Their prices are convenient and affordable.
I always exit smiling and knowing my pups, Charlie and Sheen, had the best experience and professional care.
Thanks PMC ?.”
