Iowa Family Exotics & Rescue

1122 W 2nd St, Boone

Recently purchased a male red foot tortoise from Iowa family, and couldn’t be happier. Being newer tortoise owners, there was concern over making sure the one we got was healthy, happy and coming from a reputable place. It was clear from the start that Derrick really cared about the well-being of the tortoise even after he was out the door and well on his way down to Texas (we purchased online and had him shipped down!)

It’s nice knowing that they are reputable and safe places to adopt or purchase animals these days. With so many breeders around always trying to make a quick buck with animals, we were honestly shocked by how UNCONCERNING the process was haha

Thanks again. If we ever need another pet, we know where to go!

Pet Care

Boone Veterinary Hospital

2507 Eastgate Drive, Boone

Best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Elizabeth is great! So accomidating. I was able to use a seperate entrance straight to a private exam room to avoid the main entrance and the other animals and people waiting. If you have a large breed K-9 that loves to investigate other animals in an unwanted way they will help with your stress. Just call them from outside and they will direct you to an alternative entrance when they are ready for your dog. Perfect. Also you can pay in exam room. In and out. Trouble free. Great medicine.

Animal Protection & Education Vaccinations microchipping spay and neuter services

801 W Mamie Eisenhower Ave, Boone

This is THE place to go for pet spay and neutering. They are fast, efficient, and by far the lowest priced around. But most importantly, they really care about pets and their owners. We drive almost an hour (each way) to take our animals here and wouldn't go anywhere else.
