Being newer tortoise owners, there was concern over making sure the one we got was healthy, happy and coming from a reputable place. It was clear from the start that Derrick really cared about the well-being of the tortoise even after he was out the door and well on his way down to Texas (we purchased online and had him shipped down!)
It’s nice knowing that they are reputable and safe places to adopt or purchase animals these days. With so many breeders around always trying to make a quick buck with animals, we were honestly shocked by how UNCONCERNING the process was haha
