“Lovely!! The place is historic and very charming. The staff is very nice and we even got a complimentary cocktail or mocktail voucher from the bar when we checked in! I loved the area and the charm of our room.”

“We came from the burbs of Chicago for our son's graduation from UNI. Staff (Lauren and Kim) were absolutely amazing. All staff were hustling to make everyone feel welcome. We appreciated the open concept in the lobby. We had a group of 10 come back and play dominoes at a long gathering table. It was the perfect spot for a blended family to come together.”

“This is an order hotel. We had a pre-Thanksgiving family reunion there. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The facilities were just right. This was a good place that had an indoor pool the kids could use. We were well satisfied-all 35 of us!”

“This is my favorite hotel for short-term and long-term visits in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area. Stayed in 2023 and 2024.CleanQuietAffordable~ Prices are competitive and cheaper than other hotels. For long term guests, they have discounts for weekly and monthly stays. I've stayed in other hotels and JLL's rates are the best in town.~ Ideally situated close to UNI. The hotel is located on University Ave, so you're next to all the businesses, restaurants, and shopping options. 7-minute drive to the options on Viking Road/Ave of the Saints area and about 15-minute drive to the shopping hub on San Marnan Drive and La Porte Road.~ The exterior is older, but many of the interior rooms (including the one I stayed in) have been recently remodeled. They also have spacious studios available for rent with extra closet space and a kitchenette.~ They have an exercise room, but I didn't really use it because the equipment is older, and that room is noticeably colder than the rest of the hotel. I did enjoy walking the hallways of the hotel when I wanted to walk outside but couldn't because of snow or bad weather. You can't tell from the outside, but the hotel is spacious, multi-leveled, with multiple wings.~ I also didn't utilize the many streaming apps they had on the TV, but it's nice that they have them available.~ As a non-smoker, I really appreciated that they kept smoking and non-smoking guests in separate wings of the hotel and enforced the non-smoking rule in the non-smoking section. Too many times to count, I've requested a non-smoking room in various hotels and had to change rooms because there was the strong odor of weed or cigarette smoke from the previous guests.~ All staff (management, front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping) are friendly, helpful, and accommodating.Walkability: easy walking distance to businesses, restaurants, and shoppingFood & drinks: close to businesses, restaurants, and shopping”

“Phenomenal, great staff, wonderful food, the room met my Hilton expectations. Everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel even had plan in place for the extreme cold weather. I didn't personally see the event center but from the hallways it looked well kept.”
