This place worked perfectly & was definitely worth the $13 I spent. Our girl Tula was comfortable using their bathing station & hopped right up into the tub! She loved smelling all the BBQ grill smells from Willie’s. The water was cold at first but warmed up after a few seconds. I brought my own shampoo to use but had extra time left to rinse so I added their conditioner. Now she is silky, smooth & soft! I’d come here again & definitely recommend it to anyone with a big dog.

Courtney and I have gained somewhat of a talking relationship and she seems to understand my concerns. I recently moved to a corporate office of a bank and I speak highly of blairsferry pet hospital. I appreciate Kelley’s transparency and thoughtfulness as she is getting to know you and your dog. Gem is very particular about people and she was giving Auntie Kelley kisses her first day there! Kelley has a gift in her ability to understand and connect with dogs. She provides frequent updates on your dog’s stay. The a la carte menu allows you to tailor your dog’s stay to best meet their needs. Gem was able to have 1:1 time playing and snuggling with Kelley. I am thrilled with the care Gem received during her stays and I wholeheartedly recommend Kelley and Dog Paws Boarding Resort!

The food was very good and there was plenty of it! I tried the pork bone broth, my companions tried the mushroom (a clear broth) and the herbal, all tasted very good. I felt the price was very good for all the food we received. One point of interest, if you go planning to do all you can eat, everyone in your party will have to do all you can eat as well, an understandable policy.
Update: Went again for dinner, they now have the grills at every table, but are now only offering all you can eat. You are given a tablet to order your food (which I think was cool) and the staff was very helpful with the changes.

7411 Mt Vernon Rd SE, Cedar RapidsI've now adopted 3 wonderful cats from CVHS. Twiggy was adopted 4 years ago, she was the light of my life!! She stayed with my ex when we got divorced but is still twiggin around like she always does. On Aug. 1st I adopted a beautiful white cat (Snuggle) with heterochromia from them too and named her Yuna. She has such a sweet disposition and fits into my household perfectly. Yuna developed a UTI and they called their Vet Tech for me and gave me UTI meds for her for free. I love how they support adopters through the whole process and ensure the pet they adopted stays healthy. Staff and volunteers there are so extremely kind and helpful as well.
Updated my review just to say we adopted little Montee from CVHS to be a companion to my sweet Tuna back in December. This little adoptee my daughter sweetle named Canada. She was the runt of the litter of a pregnant stray that was brought into them.
Canada and Yuma are just the absolute best companions. They are Yin and Yang and often sleep curled together like the Yin Yang sign. Canada keeps my senior girl Yuna who is 7 still youthful and playful.
I have never had a single problem with any animal I have adopted at CVHS. Their staff is amazing and they really know how to introduce you to the perfect furry friend to join your family. Thank you CVHS for giving me 3 amazing fur babies to love on for the past 4 years <3
