“I purchased a pair of biking gloves for $150. The product is supposed to keep you warm below 0 degrees. It was 20 degrees while I was using it. Didn’t work. I wore them once. I called the Erik’s bike shop in Des Moines. Asked to a return or exchange. Spoke to Joel, just a complete smart mouth. Asked to speak to a manager. He said no, won’t do you any good. Called back and got the a “manager” from the office name Cameron. Same smart replies. All their calls are taken in Minneapolis. Told them to have a district manager call me. He said no. I said I will call back Monday and he said you will get me. I’m the manager and it won’t go any further. Horrible product. Awful team members. Don’t buy from here. They don’t guarantee their product.Thankfully William Lisle was amazing. He helped fix this issue. The call representatives Joel and Cameron should not be in customer service.”

The service was quick, I didn't make an appointment, and they immediately detected the problem with my bicycle. I felt like I was with honest people. They called the technician and in front of me he repaired it. They have a great assortment of bikes and accessories and the people who work there are very friendly. It will be my bike shop from today.”

“Holy Cow, you don't experience this level of service very often. I was given a modestly priced mountain bike with a broken part. I like fixing things, so I jumped in. I called the manufacturer and the original store and neither of them had the capacity or will to help me. After searching around for a while, I came across Modern Bike. I spoke on the phone with Steve for 22 minutes, that's a long time to spend with one customer looking for a $30 part. Steve and I walked through the information on the bike so he could identify the part I needed. I was up on the shop table counting gear ratios for 4 gears and making note of the various features on the bike so Steve could ensure I had the right part. I wish I lived closer and needed anything bike related, I would be there in a heart beat. Steve is dedicated to his craft, has a vast knowledge of his trade, and a heart of service. Top notch service, somebody give this guy a raise.”
