“I've been in quite a few times over the years and even more so this past year. They always have someone to help. Here are two of many recent visits that have left an impression on me.

First, this past fall, I was in. I help put on our Waverly Oktoberfest celebration and needed a solution to keep garbage bags from falling into the garbage cans. We have several dozen big, city garbage receptables and when volunteers went to empty them, the bags were falling down into the cans. I went hoping to find some heavy duty, large rubber bands, figuring that would be a cheap-enough solution - or otherwise some clamps to pin the bags to the sides of the cans. Employees helped me look. When we didn't find a good product for either solution I was expecting, they helped me think of other ways to solve the problem and ultimately found a box of 100 rubber bungees that would be long enough to work plus gave me a deal, knowing that would otherwise be a bit more costly than I was anticipating. The solution was perfect, and something we'll be able to use for years. I was grateful.

Another time, more recently, I was working on a couple of light plumbing projects around the house. Kim helped me find the parts I needed, gave me a simple comparison of a few different parts I could have used along with his thoughts on which would work best for me, then gave me an explanation of how to go about the repairs. He made it all simple enough that I could repair instead of completely replace.

I appreciate that we have Miller True Value in Waverly. They know their hardware and are extremely helpful.”
