About Oaks Veterinary Clinic
Oaks Veterinary Clinic is highly regarded for its loving and compassionate care. Dr. Harmon and his staff treat animals with understanding and patience, making pet owners feel valued. Many clients appreciate the staff's willingness to listen and answer questions, even during busy times. With over 30 years of loyal service, this smaller clinic is considered one of the best in Des Moines, known for its thoughtful and qualified team. Appointments are recommended to be scheduled early due to high demand. The clinic provides quick, efficient service, as seen during a beak trim for a Russian tortoise, which was completed in just five minutes at an unbeatable price. The staff consistently treats both animals and owners with kindness and respect, creating a warm, welcoming environment. While the clinic is dedicated and caring, some clients have noted it can be understaffed, leading to difficulties when seeking help for certain issues like allergies or fleas. Overall, the clinic remains a charming, affordable place where animals are treated with love and diligence.
