“This is one of my favorite thrift shops in town. They sometimes have deals like all clothing items for $1.50 each. You can't beat those prices and the money goes to an actual good cause, which is not the case for large chains like Goodwill. This is not a greedy thrift store and I wish I could go more often.”
“Great thrift store! I’m here all the time! ?
Very clean and they do an excellent job curating items to sell. No junk here, treasures abound!
The friendliest staff ever. Very kind people. Thanks y’all! ?”
“Super clean and organized little Thrift store run by very sweet older volunteers. Clothes were organized not just by size but each rack was a type, like shorts or pants or tank tops or bathing suits, etc. Tops were $4 each for the most part and bottoms were pretty much all $5. Knick knacks and everything else were even cheaper”
“Merchandise changes daily. This makes shopping here extremely fun. You just never know what treasure lies within. Of all the thrift stores in the Des Moines area this one stocks antiques and furniture to clothing and toys and everything you can think of in-between. In my opinion most merchandise is on the upper end of the scale, quality wise. Plus, you'll find brand new items never been open. Friendly staff, clean, organized and prices to sell fast. Check it out. Youll never know what you've been missing out on until you go and find it!”
“This pantry gas helped me thru many struggles with obtaining nurturing food to prepare alot if needed meals plus their quite understanding and friendly and will schedule you twice a month which helps tremendously!”
“My RN and aid went above and beyond. They not only made sure my mother was taken care of. They always checked in with me to make sure I was taking care of me. The calls from the Social worker and the volunteers were appreciated. When she finally took her last breath our RN was there within 10 minutes and stayed until the body was picked up. She was there when my grans came to say their final good bye. She made sure all questions were answered. Our aid was always gentle and respectful with my mother. Mommy was a very private person, but she looked forward to her visits.”
“March 14th most of the fam stopped in while in town for the YMCA Regionals Swimming and glad we did?lots of nice staff, very helpful and friendly?prices pretty budget friendly”
“ARC was a humbling experience. Did it Florida in 2004. It changed the trajectory of my life. I'm a much better person today. I thank God For the Salvation Army.”

“I've had pretty good hauls from here. Selection is pretty large, and the store is well organized; not too cluttered but doesn't feel empty either. Also fantastic drop off system. One of the easiest places to donate in the Des Moines metro.”

“It doesn't matter when I go, I always find something worth the trip. I've loved this store since the first time I walked in .. I hope to pick up more lucky finds the next time. .. ???
To the Staff: Thanks for being way awesome enough to work there. People come & people go, remember that you make the difference. Even if some people can't or won't see all that you do, smile & let it go.

“Stopped in the store was clean and well kept. The clothes were mostly in the correct spots, so it did make finding things easier. There were 2 cashiers I found Bob (he had a hat with his name on it), not so friendly, which I found disappointing as the lady was extremely nice. I'd give an 8/10 I'd recommend.”
“It's like digging your way to a treasure or several treasures. Weight by the pound is such a convenience. And then the few items that they do have a set price on it's genius. Even if you go in there thinking you can find one thing and you don't find it, I promise you that you will find something that you like and love.”
“I went to Hope Thrift this afternoon and had a lovely experience. Unfortunately, an extremely rude woman was berating one of the employees about the prices and yelling at him about something he couldn’t control. He was extremely professional in the way he handled it and was much more gracious than he should have been. I was really grateful to support a place with a great mission, great employees, and great inventory. I hope that all customers can embrace that attitude of gratitude when shopping here.”
“I have been to countless thrift stores across many states. This is by far my favorite place to go. Everything is just priced so kindly towards the consumer and the staff are just unbelievably kind and helpful. Great selection of kitchenware, furniture, decor you name it.
It truly is appreciated especially when most other thrift stores are raising their prices like crazy”
