“After a negative experience with my previous bank for the past few months has caused me to look for other banking options, I visited Great Southern Bank on Hamilton Boulevard (as well as other banks) on Saturday August 28th. While some other banks just handed me quick flyers or pamphlets to discuss accounts that they had, and rushed me out the door, this Great Southern was a completely different experience. And to be honest, I visited another Great Southern Bank as well (on Morningside Avenue), and the Hamilton Boulevard branch was above and beyond even that other branch. The Morningside Avenue branch also quickly rushed me out the door, simply handing me a pamphlet and directing me to their website.This branch (the one I am reviewing here) went above and beyond. I was sat down with Amber Crowson, one of their bankers. She patiently listened to me as I explained my situation and needs, as I have multiple bank accounts (checking, savings, Roth IRA's, loans, etc) all that needed to be migrated over. I arrived at 11:15 am, and due to the number of questions, I unfortunately caused her to stay past closing a few minutes. However she graciously didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing her.She opened a new account for me, and got the ball rolling with me on the other accounts being transitioned (a business account, a vehicle loan refinance, and outlining what was needed for the 401K / savings / investment accounts). She provided me with full documentation, and explained the accounts very well. She promised full contact with me next week to help further facilitate the transfer of banks.Since I travel a lot for work, and have very complex banking needs due to having a large number of accounts and requirements, it was nice having a banker that was this accessible on the weekends. I look forward to continuing the relationship with Great Southern.”

“They are so nice here. Only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because whoever manages their Mobile Banking app needs to find a different job. It is offline or not working more than it actually works. You never notice until you NEED visibility of your account. It never fails”

“I was a walk in and customer relations was able to fit me in, I was super appreciative for that. I loved the overview of the app with her, and she got me set up super fast. “I've only used the drive-thru at this branch. They're usually not busy at all and they have their lanes marked for what you need to accomplish. The tellers are very nice and they don't get snippy at all. I drive a little more out of the way to go use this branch. The Wells Fargo downtown is a mess and the one out by the mall is slow. Haven't used the one near Morningside Ave. before.”
