“This shop is an amazing gem in Iowa City. Mel is VERY good at what she does. I grew up with my mother making/altering all of my clothes. I felt just as comfortable with her as I did with my mother for so many years. Did a WONDERFUL job on a dress removing the train and a full Hem. 10 out of 10!”

“Warms my Liberal heart. A woman at Mesa 503 recommended this store when I said I was looking for Iowa products to bring home from my work trip to Iowa City. I found so many wonderful T-shirts and stickers here for my friends and family. It’s probably a good thing they closed about a half hour after I got there or I might have bought one of everything. Not everything is political or Midwestern, and they have things for all ages. The person working there was very nice and did a great job of folding my purchases.”

“I love this store. There's a nice variety of upscale and more affordable pieces, as well as adorable accessories. Plus it's right down town. Don't miss this stop!”

“Selling a mix of used and new clothes, this is a trendy downtown thrift shop. There are some good finds, although some items are overpriced so you have to know what you're looking for. Everything is neatly organized on racks and has been individually priced, so there's no outright steals, but there's some fair prices and most items, even used, are of good quality. Every once in a while an item will slip through the cracks, so you do still need to have somewhat of an eye for thrifting. Also, there's a sign that says that you need to leave your bags at the front to prevent theft but the majority of the college kids working there absolutely do not care, so it's usually unnecessary to follow that instruction.Staff primarily white college-aged women, patrons primarily white female college students. "Alternative looks" clothing styles available but limited. Primarily college fashion.”
