“The quintessential place to stop for Iowa City/Iowa swag. To me, Raygun can do no wrong. I found the Iowa City location to be well-stocked. Employees were friendly. Reasonable prices -- like those less than $2 cork coasters -- I have many. If you're in the area for a while and want to see even more of what Raygun has to offer, check out the Cedar Rapids location. Definitely recommend.”
“My husband and I visited the store today. Tabitha assisted us. She was fantastic! Extremely helpful. She found us exactly what we were looking for. Overall, I gave five stars because of Tabitha. There was another employee that was working near the American Fighter wall. Tabitha kindly pointed out to her we were trying to look there and she rudely pushed the cart thing she was working at a few inches and stomped off. She was horribly rude and honestly shouldn’t be working around people. Thank you Tabitha!!”
“Selling a mix of used and new clothes, this is a trendy downtown thrift shop. There are some good finds, although some items are overpriced so you have to know what you're looking for. Everything is neatly organized on racks and has been individually priced, so there's no outright steals, but there's some fair prices and most items, even used, are of good quality. Every once in a while an item will slip through the cracks, so you do still need to have somewhat of an eye for thrifting.Also, there's a sign that says that you need to leave your bags at the front to prevent theft but the majority of the college kids working there absolutely do not care, so it's usually unnecessary to follow that instruction.Staff primarily white college-aged women, patrons primarily white female college students. "Alternative looks" clothing styles available but limited. Primarily college fashion.”

“I love Ragstock! I have found such great stuff at both the Iowa City store and this Coralville location. Prices are great (some are truly unbelievable). Years ago in Coralville I got a blouse without even trying it on, must have been about 5 dollars, and it is still my favorite go-to whenever I need to dress up a bit for work or family events! Today, I ended up with, amongst other things, 2 separate Calvin Klein dresses that were $12.99 each and a pleather moto jacket for $7.50. It’s a great and fun place to shop, especially if you go in open minded without an exact idea of what you want. The employees through the years have always been super friendly. I recommend this store to everybody. You will find something truly unique!”

“I gained some weight after starting some medication and am very used to going into dressing rooms and having no luck. After going into Old Navy yesterday, I was blown away. They had so many plus sizes in their typical clothing, which was amazing to see. Everything I tried on, I bought! It was unlike any other experiences I have had at other stores, and I cannot recommend this Old Navy enough!”
“My last experience at AE was horrible, I was trying to find jeans that would fit me (I was bigger back then I lost 50 pounds since then) and the girl said "we don't carry big girl jeans in the store" she said it snotty and walked away.. worst feeling ever.. THIS time it was AMAZING! I was greater by ABBY who was beyond AMAZING!!! I explained my situation to Abby and told her I wasn't sure what mt size is anymore since I've lost weight etc. I tried on one pair and explained to her what I didn't like, not only was she super helpful she ACTUALLY knew what she was talking about and knew what needed changed. She was so so amazing!! If you go there and need assistance ask for ABBY!!!”

“I went to Zumiez Saturday and was greeted by the nicest people. Scooby in particular helped me look through the whole store for a certain size I was looking for and didn’t stop offering me help until I was ready to check out. Everyone was so patient and kind. The coolest store with the coolest people. 10/10”
“So I retired from retail many years ago so I am kind of a harsh critic when it comes to shopping at stores and I had stopped coming to this rue21 for a long time because it was so messy and the staff was rude but let me tell you, that has changed y’all!!! This store is tiny and outdated but as far as merchandising and the clothing it has improved 100% from my last visit over a year ago. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and who I’m assuming was the manager, greeted me with her name, which was Tyler or maybe Taylor, my memory isn’t great. She told me about the $5 sweaters and she gave me a sample of one of the perfumes, when so told her I wasn’t a fan of sweet she sprayed me a coconut one and then even some guys ones which I ended up like the Revert. I would have paid this young lady anything to join my team back in the day. She was just the sweetest thing. The other 2 young ladies working were very friendly also and offered me help throughout my time in the store. I called my granddaughter that goes to Iowa and told her to come and shop all the good deals and she said her and her friends would come down tomorrow. I will be posting this review everywhere I can because I know how many people like to complain instead of praise and this team deserves all the praise in the world. Great job and thank you for turning one of my go to stores around so I can enjoy it again.”

“I came to Plato’s in Coralville to sell clothing for the first time this week, but from a buyer’s perspective, I thought the store appeared clean and well-organized when I arrived, so I would definitely consider shopping there in the future. When I arrived the check-in process was super quick and my items were reviewed quickly. In total 11 of my 15 items were accepted which actually exceeded my expectation in terms of quantity. I was offered $24.75 for my items which was pretty low but not excessively far from what I anticipated. I think averaging $2-3 per item is not the best value when it comes to dresses & pants, however the convenience of walking away with cash is sometimes preferable to selling through an online platform. All of the staff members were super professional and welcoming throughout the process. I would encourage people both buying and selling to check out this Plato’s location, but possibly slightly adjusting your expectations in terms of a reselling offer.”

“Not only is this the cutest store in the Iowa City/North Liberty area, but Rhi is actually amazing! I was a bride with Rhi and she instantly made me feel well taken care of. She sent me photos for a reception dress that all perfectly fit my vibe! Rhi also has styled me for bach trips and vacations. Everyone was asking where I got my dresses! The best part, going into her store is total girlhood. Sipping sparkly Prosecco (on tap, like are you kidding me?!) with a bunch of women trying on clothes makes this store one of the best customer experiences!”
