“I have loved living here. Being dog friendly is a huge plus! I have lived at this complex on two different occasions and had an incredible experience both times.”

“The apartment manager, Cindi, is one-of-a-kind! The entire complex is in tip top shape because of her leadership and, quite frankly, intelligence. She cares about the residents, grounds, and matching people with their apartment home. If you are leaving a house for apartment living, the high ceilings and open floor plans will ease the transition. If you have a pet and are a responsible pet owner, this complex is convenient to walking trails and green space. It’s a wonderful place with wonderful staff!”

“It’s a really good location overall. However, being south of the freeway, you can get that freeway noise if you have an exterior apartment like mine. The amenities are great, but I wish the indoor pool and gym and more, did not require a key. Or they would provide an additional key to residents for those, as I feel it unnecessary to have them locked since the building requires key access. I suppose there is a reason I just don’t understand it. And since my building (same key as the amenities) and apartment key are on my car keys, I feel I will have to take them all with me to go use the indoor pool.”

“I love this apartment!!! The communal areas are beautiful. The staff goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make you feel welcome. The apartment is very affordable and I always get compliments on my view. The picture I uploaded doesn’t do it justice, especially at sunrise. Couldn’t recommend this building higher.”

“My husband and I have lived here in the Woodland Reserve since June of 2020. We’re hardly had any issues and the maintenance team is always quick to resolve any issues. Woodland is also pet friendly!”

“I've been living in Des Moines for about a year now. Moving from Tennessee into another state was a scary and big move, but Susie made the entire process easy and painless( as much is possible for somebody new to Iowa.) She worked with me on any and every problem I've had and I cannot thank her enough for her genuine kindness and patience. She is always going out of her way to help us residents, taking on what seems like an overwhelming amount of people and bringing us into the family that is the westpointe apartments. She is often seen running around the entire property, helping residents from every building. Every day, she comes to work with a wonderful attitude and cheers us up even if we've had bad days. I know Susie will always listen to me if I come to her. She does anything and everything in her power to help those of us in need get apartments here. Susie is the glue that holds your team together, and I don't know what we would do without her.We all see your effort and care for us residents.Thank you so much, Susie.I'm proud to call West Pointe my home because of all you have done for me ❤️”

“I was a resident from 2020 until 2023. The staff at Prairie Lakes was always very responsive and friendly. The buildings' interior were well kept and designed. It has been one of the few apartment locations I've lived and almost never heard the neighbors through the walls (upstair neighbors stomping around can't be helped sometimes). The location was also hard to beat for amenities - right next to the High Trestle Trail, within biking distance of the Farmers Market, multiple ponds nearby to fish at, and plenty of sidewalks to explore. Was sad to go, but the 2 bed 2 bath became too pricy for my income without a roommate.”

“My daughter moved to West Glen apartments from KC to attend grad school. She rented the loft floor plan. I do not have enough good things to say, nice kitchen with so many cabinets and island/ counter space, a walk-in closet that was humongous, washer/dryer in the huge bath (put your towel in the dryer so it’s nice and toasty when you get out of the shower !!) plenty of room for her furniture (queen bed, nightstand, tall dresser, long dresser that doubled for tv stand, small desk/chair and futon couch.) One of her favorite things about the place was the amount of sunlight for all her plants!! It was a fantastic experience for her and I loved the location (safe, next to major highways.)For my point of view; one of the very best things about West Glen was the Office Manager, Catrina! We toured in midst of COVID. She was just so friendly, polite, helpful and respectful. My daughter will absolutely miss her and her Iowa apartment! 10 out of 10”

“Layout is great. Management is friendly and takes care of things in a timely manner. Location is awesome. Close enough to the bus station and Hy-Vee but still not on court Ave. One downside is the train can get quite loud but you get used to it. Landlord is very willing to make accommodations for disabilities. I highly recommend rumely lofts and manager kate and maintenance man Eric. The community room is really nice. Things are maintained well. Any problems with loud residents are taken seriously.”

“I had appointment today to look at an apartment, Brittany and Emily gave me the tour. They both made me feel so welcomed. They were so easy to talk to, they were super upbeat and very knowledgeable and answered every question with confidence. They made me feel like I was home! Very professional staff! I am very excited. These lofts have amazing original architecture mixed with modern elements. The light coming thru the windows is absolutely breathtaking.Fingers crossed that I will become a resident. But nonetheless, I am very grateful to Brittany and Emily for giving me their time.”

“I lived here for 1.5 years and really enjoyed it. The main downsides are 1)if you’re on south side of DART you’ll be right next to bus station (not loud enough to wake you up, but you’ll hear it), 2) Occasional homeless around trash 3) Can be hard to find parking and they don’t tow 4) they charge you a couple hundred for “cleaning fee” on move out (nothing was damaged or soiled). Still gets 4/5 though: Clean and updated units, great location, the grounds are nice, never had maintenance issues/ everything just worked.”

“If you’re wanting to expand your friend group, Prairie Point gives you so many amazing opportunities to do so. With events hosted by the staff (such as the Thanksgiving lunch, or cook out in the parking lot). Walking through your building and meeting your neighbors or simply just walking around the complex has led to me making many life long friendships.”

“I can't say enough great things about living at the Fleming Building these past 2.5 years!Besides just the charm of the actual apartment aesthetically, the management here is AMAZING. The property manager, Dan, is kind, responsive and always helpful. And maintenance was always crazy fast and went above and beyond every time. It doesn't seem like a huge thing, but the staff here truly made the experience as great as it was because they genuinely care about the people who live there.Great place--highly recommend!”

“I have been living here for going on 3 years and it’s had its ups and down and I can lay out the pros and cons but overall any problem I have had has been accommodated to and I was going through a hard time and they worked with me and understood. Unfortunately I think I will be departing soon but overall it was a good time.”

“This is the best place I have lived at in Des Moines. The manager and staff are excellent, kind, and very considerate. I have nothing but praise to offer these guys! The rent is low but the professionalism is high. Thanks University Terrace Apts. for making my time here in IA well lived.”

“I've been here a year and haven't had any issues with angel, the management or maintenance. Any concerns I have with the apartment, they always handle them in a timely manner. As far as angel and all the bad reviews, I think people should cut her some slack, it takes alot to run several properties for 1 and 2 she can't control her tentants disturbing habits. If you can't clean up behind your self and your kids than you shouldn't want to live at the property anyway. Anyone shouldn't get mad at management for enforcing the rules. As for me I keep my place pretty clean so I have never had any pest issues, I can't speak for anyone else. But best of luck to Angel and to anyone wanting to rent in there future. I had a great overall experience and management has always been very patient and understanding.”

“Very nice apartment! People in the office are real nice and, helpful! The service for repairs is slower thanxit use to be and the maintance of the grounds is less than it use to be as well! Still a real nice apartment to live in”

“I moved in June '22 shortly before the property sold and we had new management.I've had a good experience so far, we've all been freaking out about the rent increases and renovations. Alexandra, the new property manager has done a very good job keeping communication open and actually being an advocate for current tenants. I think she's even got the out of town owners to rethink the currents rates. It's an 82 year old complex and constantly needing repairs, Alex has managed to stay on top of it!MJ Heuring”

“I love my unit. The purpose for me moving in was the fire place, BUT! ...after 6-8 months of living here I have started seeing roaches. They send out pest control but I think it's just for me. It definitely isn't coming from my unit. I'm a clean freak. They need to treat the whole building... not just mine. Where is the monthly pest control around this place?UPDATE: Pest control has been doing all of the units and they're really friendly/professional. From the sounds of it they have been able to locate the unit responsible which gives me hope for my own home. Management has been sending them bi-weekly for the whole building. ?”

“Thankful for Cate, Bryan and Souky (+ his maintenance team) for making our transition to Weston Park go so smoothly! From day one, they have been the absolute best while we moved across the country. Souky + a team member even helped us with our U-Haul trailer after we experienced a hiccup - resolved it immediately. We also submitted a maintenance request on Sunday and it was resolved ASAP the next day (:”

“I lived here for 3 years. Only planned for short term, then COVID happened. Decided to stay put for a couple more years. When I moved out I thought for sure I would owe money (as apartments complex's like to nickel and dime). However, I thought Polo Club was more than fair and thought what they charged me out of my deposit was fair. Great apartment, Great management and the price is amazing being in WDM and close to everything. If you pay your rent on time and don't act a fool, they will treat you right! Trista in the office the best!!!”
