“This is my absolute favorite small bookstore in Des Moines. Every time I visit Des Moines I make sure to stop here and I am never disappointed. I love how they have small employee made summaries attached near books they recommend. I've never left here without at least two books.”
“Cute store with a huge selection of Fiction all the way to Anime. Great for all ages and will be coming back again shortly. Keep in mind books traded in are for store credit only to be used towards used books only and only half the price of the book.”

“We wanted to kill some time here while waiting for an appointment. This is a smallish bookstore, but they have a wide variety of different genres. The selection was good, and all 4 of us were able to find a book.
Their seating to stop and read is pretty good, though they could use a bit more with backs for adults (lots of stool like spots).
Would recommend as a place to check out if you're in the area.”
“Despite the place going down hill from what it used to be with items sold.I always come out filled with positive energy.The staff are always decently familiar with the craft. Just not of the local active covens.Last time I went I was drawn by a guiding force to just take me there. I wanted a certain candle didn't have the money for it. But was blessed to observe a reading being performed.The blessings of the Lord and Lady, the sweet woman whom was having her tarot reading performed bought me the candle.I say this was always my no 1 go to place for items locally "Craft" related.As a 3rd degree I can't say enough positive things about this store.I remember it was ran by a Coven when It was over by the blazing saddle.May the Lord and Lady bless all who come into the store.”

“I shop only the vinyl section, so I'm biased - disclaimer. I thought it was a decent selection, though pretty small. They did have some deals on sealed/new titles, and I found a couple used items that were interesting and in good shape with a decent price. Definitely worth the trip, but not the best half price books I've been to for vinyl at least. I won't fault them for that since they're a book store. The staff seemed friendly enough, and everything seemed clean/organized. I'd stop in again when I'm in Des Moines.”

“This was one of the best bookstores I've been to for a school of its size. Had a great selection of clothes AND novelty items. Came home with a nice bobblehead of Griff! The quality of apparel that was offered was pretty top notch. With the exception of maybe larger sizes, there should be no problem finding anything you're looking for or maybe didn't know you were looking for there!”
“I just went back to school in the fall of 2021 and the staff was very helpful in finding the materials that I needed for my classes. Only downside is that text books run out fast, so get yours as soon as you know your required materials.”
