Ye Olde Guitar Shoppe is the only music store in Des Moines that also features a fully operational recording studio. Our goal is to support local music and open up more people to the possibilities of the guitar, and we want you to feel comfortable and relaxed while shopping for a new instrument or getting your current one repaired or tuned. Guitar styles that we stock include classical, acoustic, electric, and bass, and we also sell amps, strings, tuners, effects pedals, stands, and music books. Classes are available for musicians of all ages, and our team of fellow musicians can also restore and appraise rare and vintage guitars, or even design a custom one just for you. The guys at Ye Olde are awesome. They taught my son to play a Guitar and made it interesting and fun. He still plays and fondly thinks of his former mentors.

This is the place to go for guitars/musical instruments in the Charleston area. These guys will save you money over the big box stores and online sites. The owner is very knowledgeable and extremely nice. I wish that I had discovered this place sooner.
