“Very quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay in Winterset. Everybody was super helpful and kind. The breakfast in the morning serves delicious coffee and I experienced different types of morning eggs, waffles, yogurt, bagels to bananas. I’m sure they had made to order items but I always found what I needed already made. The cobblestone is in Winterset so we were there to see all the Madison county bridges. While there we found many nice restaurants and antique shops. The hotel is about 30mins from DesMoines. A few winery’s are close at hand also. The price is right and all the accommodation are on the money. Can’t wait to come back again for some very needed R&R.”

“We were homeward bound after a lengthy Midwest roadtrip and this little hotel was one of those unplanned, wonderful surprises! The evening manager (I didn't get his name) was great to hold a room for us and get us swiftly checked in. The hotel is in the middle of a remodel, but everything was tidy and quiet. Our room was a suite on the second floor, it was spacious, had a cozy bed, and was the perfect place to unwind after hours on the road. True to the other reviews, the next morning, Sue was friendly and gave us several tips on local spots to stop and see! We're already thinking of how our travels can bring us back!”
